Forsaken of the Everfree 1x1 with Maple Bat

The unicorn foolishly tried to attack Princess Luna, clearly not knowing who he was up against.

Jack fell to the floor, he stopped sign's of movement, only his heart pounding at a rather slow rate.

With a swift swing from Luna's blade, The unicorn was dead. "Jack! Hold on I think i can..." Luna opened a portal to lead to a medical center in canterlot. I don't know if that was Ok I should have got Maple but she's a bit busy at this moment.

Jack's heartbeat was slowing by the minute, some sort of poison had been placed inside his wound, wich had already made its way to the heart.

He had tears in his eyes tough it was hard to see if they were recent as Jack was outcolled, his body was ice cold as it had been exposed to the temperatures of the Frozen North for a very long time without any sort of protection.

"This pony needs medical attention immediately" Luna demanded in the royal canterlot voice She rarely ever used it now so when she did it was important. Several doctors came and looked at jack worried about his condition they immediately began to work "Oh I hope you're ok. Not just for your own sake but if Maple ,in her state now, finds out about this..." She left the sentence hanging since it wasn't good.

 

Maple meanwhile had refused to stop her attack no matter how much it didn't seem to be working at this point only one thing would stop her, Someponys death either her's or Crimson's.

Even Crimson started to notice that neither of them was tiring down.

"You have fought valiantly, but I have somepony to attend to."

"Our battle will be postponed, as I do not have any time to waste fighting with you at this very moment."  Crimson said with a smirk.

He used his magic to drop some sort of smokescreen as he started sprinting trough the tunnels, using his magic to enhance his movement speed.

Jack suddenly started to move, he was trying to reach for something that wasn't there, yet his eyes were still closed, it seemed almost like a natural reaction.

He started moving uncomfortably, almost in some sort of trance.

"You're not getting away this time!" Maple yelled chasing after him following the sound of his hoofs, She was much faster than normal probably due to her wings changing. She was catching up when she was caught up. She bit the pony with her fangs only to realize that it wasn't Crimson. She heard Luna's voice saying "Jack was safe.". She flew back to the entrance where Trixie was waiting

"Maple!" Trixie screamed when she saw here "What happened to you."

"Long story I..." She paused "I need you to take me to canterlot since your hear can you open portals?"

"No I..." Trixie realized that she had the alicorn amulet "Yes I can." She put the amulet on and opened a portal with relative ease "Need anything else from the great and powerful Trixie?"

"No. Thank you Trixie" Maple stepped through the portal and ran around until she found Luna with Jack. She didn't want to speak around her though because of the evil sound in her voice.

"How did our objective go master?" Asked one of the unicorns.

"Everything went perfect, despite the 2 opponents I encountered out of the sudden, I had found who we were looking for."

"My lord... that colt managed to escape by assisted means, he is no longer in our grasp.." the unicorn said with a fearful face

Crimson looked at him with a smirk to the surprise of everyone who was present there.

"That doesn't hinder our plans in any way, I have already connected him to the link, the deed is done." Crimson replied.

Jack was looking around with panic, yet for some reason he still had his eyes closed.

Maple wanted to calm him down but the dark magic was still mostly in control she nodded to Luna hopping she could do something.

Luna walked over to the colt "Jack you're gonna be ok. The doctors have fixed most of your injuries already. It's only a matter of how you feel. Maple's here too say hi to her for me." She felt like she was being demeaning to him but it's all she could think of.

Jack opened his eyes, he looked around with a confused expression.

"W-what happened? What is going on?!" he said in a panic

He felt with his hoof at his treathed belly wound, but felt something.

"My implants.. My implants are still there!!" he screamed in a panick.

He tried to rip them out with his magic inside his body, but they wher connected to his hearth, wich had caused the poison to reach his heart before in an attempt to stop it from beating.

"What did he do!" Maple Shouted angrily "Why does he wish so much pain upon anypony besides himself." She fell onto one knee internally fighting off the dark magic in her mind. The doctors offered to help her but when they did she pointed at Jack "There's something in him. Get it out!" She yelled at one of them.

The doctor cowered in fear for a second and then said "Yes, Captain Maple." He walked over to Jack "Alright I'm gonna need to know where it is so I can safely extract it so where is it exactly leave out no detail."

Jack looked a bit spooked by Maple's voice, but luckily he was no stranger to the side effects of dark magic.

He regained his bearings quickly.

"Its.. Its somewhere around my lungs i think... It had been pumping something into my heart but i dont know what it was.. It feels like it tries to spread trough my brain, atleast that is what it feels like. I don't know what is going on?!" he said in a panick

There where still untended wounds on jacks body namely the sword hit to the chest. The doctor, a unicorn, used his magic to make what he was about to not hurt as much. "I think I can get it however this is gonna hurt." He warned. He felt the implant with his magic attempting to remove it safely and as painlessly as possible.

Maple was watching closely, But she decided to leave and go far away. She couldn't take it anymore if something happened to Jack the dark energy would consume her completely and who know what would happen at that point.

Eventually, the implant was removed, but it looked really bizarre.

 It was made from a green crystal material that wasn't recognised from anywhere around Equestria, It had the shape of a star, and at each side of the points, where crafted scorpion tails that emitted some sort of poison.

But there was something disturbing, in the middle of it was an eye that occasionally blinked, the thing seemed to be alive.

When the thing blinked the doctor dropped it but caught it before it hit anything. After removing the implant the doctors finished patching Jack up in a few minutes

Luna had brought Maple back, her coat had grown a bit darker. Luna said to her "Jack's alright, Maple."

Maple nodded "He is now. However how can you say Crimson won't just come for him again." She walked over to Jack "Jack I don't want you to get hurt anymore. I can beat him from here. So I'll be taking you to my parents home so they can protect you from Crimson." She had made up her mind about this there wasn't any room in her mind for debate.

"Maple, I know you are strong, but you are letting the dark energy go to your head! You are challenging him, that is precisely what he wants!

He wants you to succumb, I know that the most of us, why do you think he is after me? The older generation of my family had pledged their allegiance to Sombra."

"I am the last of my families generation, and when he saw me back at the Crystal Empire, he must have noticed me. He wants to disable my body so he can integrate me into his cabal of Sorcerers, that is how he gets all of his soldiers!!"

Maple paused taking a deep breath. Her coat and wings didn't change but at least her voice changed back to normal. "You're right I'm sorry."

Luna walked over to the two of them "Maple I've seen this effect before... Give it a few hours and it will pass but stay calm and stay here."

Maple nodded "Of course Lady Luna. Perhaps... Tea?"

"Oh that actually sounds quite nice I'll join you." Luna responded

 

Meanwhile woody was starting to struggle to keep his warming song going. Flurry walked over to him. "Are you doing on."

"Not really I'm gonna pass out soon if I keep this up. I can do it for a few more hours..."

Meanwhile somewhere in a hidden location.

A circle was formed of 20 unicorns, the strongest unicorns of the Red Enclave all aiming their horns to the air.

"It is time my brothers, Equestria will be but a pawn in the presence of our powers, the heavens shall tremble! *,MARK IT IN BLOOD AND FIRE!*" Shouted the words of Crimson.

MARK IT IN BLOOD AND FIRE!

The war cries of his followers echoed in the air.

Crimson stood in the middle of the circle, his horn glowing violently with dark magic, his cabal of sorcerers did the same, their horns glowing at an extreme rate.

Eventually, a dark red beam shot out in the sky, and the sky of Equestria started changing its patterns.

While it was somewhere in the evening, the sky suddenly turned to night, and then back to the day. This pattern started cycling itself after every 5 minutes but started going at a faster pace as time went on.

It created a terrifying sight in the inhabitants of Equestria as their day and night cycle was thrown out of control.

Maple saw what was happening and got overwhelmed by her anger again falling to a knee "Gah! This is all his fault isn't it." She growled angrily. "Just when you think he's gone for now he messes something else up."

Luna ran over to Maple "It'll be fine your brother and the army have got this for now. You can join them once we flush your system of this awful dark magic."

 

Woody saw what was happening and created a giant illusion to keep the soldiers from freaking out. "We need to move now! We attack the enemy commander." The army began to march.

Jack looked at the sky and had a sense of dread in his stomach.

He used all his remaining magic to teleport from the bed straight to the highest point of the castle roof and look up into the sky.

He would occasionally mumble strange words, but at the same time, he was just staring at the sky as it was playing like an optical illusion into his eyes.

His entire body was transfixed to watching the sky, and it seemed that when he looked at the sky something was just making him freeze his sight at the sky like a statue.

He stood there for hours to come.

Maple stayed there. Motionless in her head fighting off the dark magic. "Go get Jack. He'll know what to do about the magic."

Luna nodded and ran to the medical area but couldn't find him she assumed he'd gone home. "He's gone but he's safe" She lied, she didn't know where he was but Maple had more important things to worry about now "Lets go get some tea now" she said taking Maple to her room and ordering some tea from a servant.

When the tea arrived Maple had passed out and recovered. She wasn't sure what caused that probably her sheer anger. She drank some feeling it relax her mind just a bit. "Ah sometimes it does help to not have to protect anything." She said calmly.

Crimson and his cabal were still in the spell.

"Antacius, come over here and keep up the spell in my place, I am going to advance it now," Crimson ordered.

"Very well my lord, the honours are yours after all." He replied back.

Crimson floated a bit into the air while his horn was glowing violently.

He then shot out a massive green been from his horn towards his target.

The beam hit Appleloosa, creating a similar effect back when Sombra made the Crystal Empire vanish.

All of the ponies there started floating in the air, all mostly afraid of what was going on.

Crimson that put a lot more magic into his spell, and the ground shook as the vibration of the beam became bigger.

"Place your allegiance to Xenith you Vermin!" Crimson shouted out with a taunting tone

Appleloosa was swallowed whole by some sort of massive green magic, and eventually, after 10 minutes all that was left was a barren wasteland where once the Earth Pony village stood.

Crimson looked the destruction he had caused with an evil smile.

"You will soon all hail to Xenith." he said as he teleported away.

Jack stared in the distance still on the roof with a pale expression.

He stood there frozen from shock, remembering this little event far too well.

Maple had finished having tea with Luna, her appearance had returned to normal mostly by that point, When they both felt the ground shaking. Woody where he was felt it as well.

Maple's appearance changed fading back into the nightmarish appearance again. "Sorry princess that was only an illusion."

Luna jumped "Your... Illusion? But you're not a unicorn."

"It's Woody's. I didn't want you to get upset at me for not healing." Maple explained

"Upset?" Luna said "We are only concerned for you Maple."

 

Meanwhile Woody was marching the army to the giant beam into the sky. "They reveled themselves now's the time to attack." He shouted leading a charge.

Crimson suddenly noticed incoming movements from afar.

"Our plan has worked, but a large army is heading towards our direction, they must have found us." Antacius explained.

"I may be confident, but I am no fool. Bring forth the deception, and cover our escape." Crimson ordered.

Antacius bowed and used an illusion spell, making him looking like Crimson.

"Good, now gather a decent sized army and  counter that attack, and I will see if you are competent enough to come out of this alive." Crimson said.

"You underestimate me, My Lord. I got my powers from the strongest after all." Antacius chuckled back.

He then let an army of 50 earth ponies clad in strong armour, something different than the usual Unicorn armies they use.

Crimson and his Cabal stepped into the shadow's, heading away from the battle.

Woody was running towards the enemy army. He summoned forth a few vines tangling around some of the enemy soldiers. Flurry meanwhile began charging a spell that would hopeful passivize the enemy combatants so this could end without much blood shed. Woody still wasn't much of a fighter. "Maple. I need help." He said opening a portal "Come on."

Maple meanwhile was reading some books to find a spell to reverse this dark magic effect. Luna helping her with it when she heard her brothers voice and then she saw a portal open. She stepped out of the portal to see the battleground.

Woody saw his sister and flinched "What happened to you. Looks weird on ya."

Maple rolled her eyes. "It's a long story but I see what you need help with." She grabbed her bow and fired a few arrows at the enemies. She was focused on keeping calm however.

Jack was staring into the distance, seeing the battle that was taking place all the way from Canterlot.

"It is happening again, and no one has noticed what they are even trying to do.."

He closed his eyes and sighed.

'This is not going to end well for anypony, no pony may have realised what they have done but I do, and I cannot and set around while they are destroying everything.' he thought

'Sadly I wasted every single bit of magic I had left in me with that teleportation spell, I will have to go down with my hooves.'

He climbed a bit down and started balancing on the ledge.

'I cannot believe I am doing this... I shouldn't look down at any moment.'

Antacius suddenly noticed some sort of magic.

His horn started to glow, and the crystals inside his soldier's armours started to glow.

This sent out a magical signal in the soldier's implants that made their bodies rigid but eventually got taken over by the unicorn, disabling their sentience.
