Forsaken of the Everfree 1x1 with Maple Bat

Jack looked at her go with a sad expression, he then turned to Woody.

"Listen, i am going somewhere far away, going to try and find someone in particular, so i may be gone for a long while, but i will return if i am able to. And while you should try to appose the Red Enclave, you should proceed with caution at the same time. Because earlier this day Crimson with his cabal performed an massive spell that managed to destroy all of Appleloosa and its inhabitents with it, and there is no doubt they will keep doing this until everything is gone.  Send my goodbye to Maple for me will you? Goodluck luck out there Woody." Jack said as he headed away, preparing on starting his long journey.

Woody listened to this with a look of horror on his face "I... I..." He collapsed "I can't do this." He said with tears in his eyes "My sister's so much better than me at the whole war and combat thing. I'm just a dragonequus who can do magic to help. Now I have to go and fight someone who can destroy an entire town. I... I can only help others succeed. Are... Are you sure you want to go alo-"

"Don't put yourself down like that Woody." Flurry said "If he tries that on us you can just use the Chaos Mist again. Plus if you lead us you can make sure we get the most of your magical abilities."

"Yea bro just because you're not like me doesn't mean you can't do this." Maple had come back to give something to Jack, She walked over to him holding out the Heart's Eclipse "Here take this with you. I have no doubt you can put my bow to good use however feel free to not take it."

Jack looked at Maple with wide eyes.

"Y-you are giving your signature weapon to me?"

He then hugged her.

"I won't let it all go to waste. I promise you that." he said.

"While i really hate to leave, i might know someone who will be able to help us. I know a particular someone from the Dragon lands that might be able to help us, tough i haven't spoken to him in ages." he said.

Maple hugged him back "It'll be more useful to you anyways since I'm going to be sitting out for a while. Good luck son."

Woody nodded to him "Well it looks like you've got her respect. Maple don't think it'd be better if you came with us as a tactician."

"No, I don't. If and when I see Crimson Vision again I might snap..." She paused "Then I'd be one of his soldiers and I just can't risk that."

Jack then walked away, heading towards his destination.

12 Days later

He had been wandering for a very long time, not even sure how close he was to his destination, his food supply was getting really low at this point.

Jack had navigated trough the badlands, and he was now getting close the Jungle.

'How long have I been walking by now? I don't even know anymore, at least I am getting close to some sort of Jungle, I have been walking and sleeping in this barren wasteland for what seems to be forever." he muttered to himself.

Woody was leading the army to go find Crimson to stop him from destroying anything else they followed his trail which he probably wasn't sure he was leaving "I... I can do this." He told himself "I... I can do it." The army was approaching Crimson's location.

Crimson stood with an army of 200 soldiers behind him, variation from all sorts of races.

He had learned from the Equestrian tactics against him so far.

Crimson conjured a massive barrier of magic around the Equestrian army, using their own method of chaos mist against them.

His front army charged the Equestrian's head on with a strong advance, while his reserves were hiding in the shadows, acting as a backup.

Flurry knew what was happening "Woody stop the chaos mist it's not going to help this time."

He nodded and stopped "I'll try to give our soldiers a boost but I'll need your help. Just act as an amplifier for this spell please." He started up a hope-filled son which was amplified by Flurry's Magic giving the army a drastic boost.

Crimson saw a sudden boost in his enemies strength. It was subtle, but it was there.

He gave a quick order, and then one of the unicorns used his magic to teleport 20 Earth ponies clad in very heavy armour, and equipped with maces and Warhammer's straight behind the ranged soldiers of the enemy, beating them to pulps as they were smashing their way trough enemy soldiers.

Flurry saw that happen and she turned around to engage them blasting them with a powerful beam from her horn "Have a taste a of that you monsters." She shouted as her magic was tearing through the enemy soliders.

 

Meanwhile in the Jungle Fluttershy was walking around trying to find a group of animals who got lost but there where a few changelings looking for her as well. One of them saw Jack and changed into Fluttershy so to not make them suspicious.

'Despite all their slacking, it seems the Royal Guard hasn't become that weak as I though. But I am more concerned about their constant support.'

Crimson thought. He then looked at Woody.

'That draconequus has been supplying them with power almost every time my armies clashed against theirs, I will have to correct that.' he thought.

He his horn started to glow, he started using a spell with powers that has never been seen by pony kind ever before, a type of power long forgotten ever since early days of Starswirl the bearded.

"Apographa, bear my word!" Crimson chanted as his body started to glow an transparent green.

His entire body became transparent, as it went straight into Woody's body.

"I have been too lenient with you weakling, it is time I turn the tides."

The powers were attempting to put Woody's body in a suppressed state, trying to drown down his senses and lock up all of his muscles.

"Resist all you want, but you cannot stop something that you are not aware of."

Crimson's voice echoed trough Woody's mind.

The powers he was using were not from that of Equestria but from a long forgotten place... A place that anyone would avoid.

Jack was walking around the Jungle until he saw someone familiar. It was Fluttershy, or so Jack thought it was.

He was in a struggle with what he should do.

He wanted to great Fluttershy, but he was also very cautious and distrustful at the same time, observing her as he narrowed his eyes.

Woody channeled the feeling let the odd feeling pass through his body and leave through his horns into the air. He laughed "You think I'm unfamiliar with evil magic. I'm only just scratching the surface of what I'm capable of. Give up It'll end quicker."

 

Actual Fluttershy saw Jack and tapped him on the shoulder "Jack.... I was uhh... what are you doing here?"

"But this is not magic, Your father would know that, so why won't you?"

Green tentacles shot out of Woody's body that impaled most of the soldiers that were standing close/

"If you had seen what I have seen, you would realise you are all leading Equestria into its own demise."

The impaled soldiers that where death was enveloped by the tentacles as it went trough their bodies, turning those bodies into mindless automatons.

"I have allowed you to savour your moment of triumph, but now I will turn the tides, watch and observe *WOODY*, a glorious carnage is at hand!"

Crimson started to levitate into the air as his body became untransparent, and his horn started.

He fired off a blast from his horn that creates a massive explosion.

The front lines of the Equestrian army were caught off guard by the massive blast impacted in the middle of their ranks, obliterating them all.

Those that did the survive the blast were suffocated from the gas that was emerging as an aftermath of the explosion.

The Equestrian army had felt a big amount of losses in their ranks.

He then teleported in front of his soldiers and drew his blades.

"Let there be blood and fire!"

LET THERE BE BLOOD AND FIRE!

The Red Enclave used this chance to assault their enemy in an all-out assault as the more in the Equestrian army had taken a major degrade after seeing most of their soldier wiped out like nothing.

Jack looked surprised as he suddenly behind him and saw a second Fluttershy behind him.

"I am trying to get to the Dragon lands, but What are you doing here Fluttershy? I just saw you stan-" he looked over there and yes, there was a second Fluttershy standing.

Jack grabbed his bow as he climbed a tree and was aiming for the fake Fluttershy.

'I am not going to shoot unless I know for certain who is the real Fluttershy, I am pretty good when to notice a changeling is faking one of my friends.' the thought.

Woody and Flurry looked around at all the destruction. Horrified they looked at each other and nodded both of them casting the same spell, a spell to teleport the whole army back to canterlot. A huge golden light enveloped the army however Woody decided to take Crimson with them. So he could fight Luna, Celestia and Cadence all at the same time but he didn't want to risk the city it's self so her wrapped the Chaos mist inside his armor making it so he couldn't tell it was there.

The string on Maple's bow turned red

Both of them saw it and the same time and dropped down cowering in fear.

Twilight who was also looking for Fluttershy saw her scared but not seeing what scared her was she rolled her eyes "Fluttershy. I told you there's nothing in this Jungle to be scared of..." She then saw Jack in a tree with Maple's bow glowing red and another Fluttershy "O...K. I was wrong."

Jack fired the arrow at the changeling Fluttershy but used a teleportation spell on it before it would hit its target, drawing the attention of the Changeling.

The real Fluttershy would cower in fear, and if the Changeling had no other type of response, he knew it was not Fluttershy.

"Jack?" The Fluttershy who wasn't scared said "What are you doing here? Why do you have my daughters weapon where... Where is she?"

Twilight's jaw dropped "Fluttershy he almost hit... you? With an arrow and now you're just having a normal conversation with him?"

"Yes this is technically my grandson after all... I mean... I'm sorry." She said "I'lll uhh... Just go back to cowering in fear now." She said going back down. "I'm sorry."

Jack saw the reaction of the non cowering Fluttereshy, a bit scowl on his appeared.  'I know enough.' he tought.

He teleported behind the fake Fluttershy and drew his axe with his magic, he then hit the changeling at its pressure point with the back handle of the Axe.

The pressure wa so intense that the Changeling's form dropped from all the pain.

Jack stomped on the Changeling's horn, preventing it from using magic.

He held his axe above his head, ending the Changeling's live should he put up any resistance.

"I suggest you speak up, others might not do it but i won't hesitate, i know how you Changelings operate." Jack said, a Burning hatred in eyes as he gritted his teeth at the Changeling.

"AHHH!" They Both screamed.

"Why did you do that we could have got data from him." Twilight said

"We... We could have reformed him... and then I guess got data from him. He... He could have lived a long life if we gave him a chance." Fluttershy said through tears "Plus what if that was me you attacked. Then again Maple's bow does detect changelings so I guess you did know."

Twilight was studying Jack "So who are you then?"

Jack sighed.

"Do not worry, he still alive, he just got knocked out from the force." he said as he holstred his axe.

"Anyways, my name is Jack, i am the adopted son of Maple, but Fluttershy already knows me." he said.

He then looked at Twilight.

"But who are you?  I haven't seen you before." he asked

"Oh... Uhh this is Twilight sparkle you know the princess of friendship." Fluttershy said nervously "Sorry. You probably wanted to do it, Twilight."

Twilight shrugged "It's alright. We where here looking for some animals that got lost in the forest." It was then it hit her. "Wait... Maple got a son?! That's amazing! Even if your adopted."

"What... If you don't mind me asking. What are you doing here" Fluttershy added

Jack's eyes winended a bit.

"Oh forgive me, i did not know you where that Twilight Sparkle, i never saw you in person so din't know who you where at first."

"And well.. I have been trying to get to the Dragon lands, there is someone who i remember from long ago that might be able to help me, tough i still haven't gotten there despite my 12 day travel of walking."

"Would you prefer to be left alone with that?" Twilight asked

"I... I don't necessarily like dragons but i...if you need help I can fly you over to the dragon's homelands" Fluttershy added "I mean if that's alright."

"Actually, i would like if you guys would help me with that. Its been so long since i had company. Strumbling trough the badlands for 12 days all on your own is nothing you will

ever get used to." he said with a smile.

Fluttershy nodded "Thank you... for letting us help I mean."

Twilight Smiled "Well I did have to visit ember to see how things are going. So now I guess we're going the same way." She spread her wings and then realized Jack doesn't have any so she started to walk.

After a few minutes of walking Fluttershy walked over to Jack "Umm... not to bother you but where is Maple? I... I mean since you have her bow I'd assume you'd know."

Jack looked surprised at Twilight.

"Hold on, you know Ember? She is the one I have been looking for, I used to know her when I was a lot younger. It was so long ago.." he said.

He then looked at Fluttershy.

"Maple is back at Canterlot, she is taking a break from fighting on the Battlefield, hence why she give me her bow." Jack said.

'I rather not tell her about the Dark magic stuff that had happened to Maple, the last thing I want right is to make Fluttershy worry to death.' he thought
