Jack started the spell as the magic was getting channelled.

After 2 minutes his eventually had left his body, entering this weird state.

Yet the only thing he could see was pure darkness.

Though after some time he felt something, he started to focus his mind on it.

But the moment he did that, a loud ringing filled his ears, and all he saw was a big red blur.

He tried to focus as best as he could, and after a while, the ringing started to disappear, and when the blur got removed, he saw a big dark red circle.

The edges of the circle where dark shadows, who were dancing around it, while at the same time constantly growing and shrinking in size.

Suddenly, symbols started to appear on the circle, there were appearing almost like they were being written, they had a very bright orange colour, when 4 symbols appeared, they after sometime disappeared, making place for other symbols to appear, it kept going like this, yet Jack only understood a few of the symbols, as some of them he had never seen before.

His heart beat was currently still going at a steady pace.

Inside Luna's room Fluttershy was carefully checking to make sure nothing would fall over. She was being very through in her search. She felt a small sneeze come up. "Uhh...  Twilight..."

Twilight was trying to focus. She didn't really hear Fluttershy.

Fluttershy was nervous, she flew over to the edge of the room and sneezed really quietly "Oh that wasn't as bad as I thought..."

but after around 5, minutes, Jack suddenly got surprised when a massive but sudden cracked from in the circle, it formed a sound that made him cringe heavily.

Jack tried to back out from the vision, but to his dismay, he couldn't he was like stuck in this state, only being able to watch what has happened in his vision.

He started to panic badly, but again he could no nothing but watch the vision going,

His heart rate was getting faster and faster, it was going it was going at an unhealthy pace.

Twilight started to get worried and started preparing her spell to put him to sleep but waited for his heart to stop. She held her breath.

Outside Maple was standing by the door. A tall unicorn tried to get into the Room. Maple looked at them "Fluer de lis? Is something wrong?"

"Yes. I haven't seen Prince Blueblood anywhere. Have you?" Fluer said concered.

"Sorry no I haven't. 'Tia's his aunt ask her." Maple said "Luna's busy right now though so don't go in there."

"I'm just going to..." Fluer tried to open the door.

Maple drew her spear. "Don't."

Jack was freaking out as he had no control over what was going on. After 7 minutes his heart stopped after overworking to the extreme during Jack's panic moment.

During his vision when his heart stopped, red cracks started to appear all around Jack's vision, he wanted it to stop with all his might.

In his own mind he was screaming and screaming, but he did not know what else to do, this entire feeling was horrifying to him as he had never experienced something like this before.

As soon as his heart stopped Twilight casted the sleeping spell she kept feeling for his heart beat "Come on... Come on..." She said nervous.

Fluer de lis was angered by Maple's action "You have no authority over me!"

"Yes I do! I'm captain of the night guard and your just a citizen." Maple said softly

"Am I? Maple Bat." Chrysalis undisguised herself "Am I?"

The heartbeat suddenly got a spark, making it go work again, at first it seemed to go at a normal pace, but then it suddenly skyrocketed again for a few seconds, for it to go at a very slow place again.

Jack's body just limply as the spell got activated.

Jack was even to this very moment still screaming and crying out for help, it was suddenly that everything vanished white and he was put in one of his own dreams, wich made him gasp for air as he felt like almost got drowned.

But even in his dream he was acting weird, he was constantly looking around the white void, the vision stil imprinted into his memory. He was still thinking he was in the vision, screaming the very same words as he bad before.

After Twilight had put Jack to sleep the others stopped channeling their energy into him. "Well that didn't go well..." Woody said a bit disappointed "I hope he's alright then."

Twilight examined him. "He is. I know because his heart is still beating." She was being very careful since she had no true understanding of 'soul magic'

Chrysalis swung a bladed horn at Maple who blocked it with her spear the two held the clash and looked each other in the eyes. "Why are you here." Maple asked through gritted teeth.

"You thought I'd give up after just one try? Honestly I expected better from you." She fired a blast at Maple there was a small explosion that wasn't heard from inside the bed The blast knocked Maple into a wall and she lost consciousness.

Jack was just clutching his head inside his dream.

"Argh, why am I still seeing this?! It is like it's imprinted into my head!

"Well, instead of being in a coma, I can safely assume, THAT I AM GOING TO DIE OF INSANITY!!!!!" Jack screamed

Maple, panting, walked in luna's room by unlocked the door with a key she had, and said "Everyone! We're needed in the throne room!" She waved them out the door. "It's really urgent. I'll watch Jack while you all are gone."

Luna was about to use her magic to enter Jacks dream, When Maple walked in, "Hold on second Maple." She urged "Something more pressing to attend to them we can leave." She popped up in Jack's Dream in front of him "Jack? What happened in there?"

Jack was trying to cover his own eyes.

"I managed to see the prophecy but... I was then stuck! I was forced to watch that whole thing for almost 12 minutes while it was tearing my sanity apart... I am really getting tired of having to do these things when others cannot like I need to take responsibility for these hard things while I have to suffer the after effects from these things!"

"Next thing I know, I am being forced to enter a conversion centre all alone because of some thing, only to get hurt all over again.

"I don't want to be forced to act as some hero, I just want to live my life, but all these damn obstacles force me to get hurt in one or another to get past something, it is getting too much for me!" Jack said.

He gave a big sigh.

"Sorry, I needed to get that out of my system..."

"Anyways, I I did, but perhaps it was not the smartest thing of me to do, i really cannot focus, i mean, i almost got a heart attack from all those flashing images before my eyes, if I keep doing these things I am going to die for real, my luck won't be there forever."

Luna smiled gently, Her body swinging softly from side to side, She spoke softly "Then don't put yourself into these things you have Us..." She said referring to illusions of the other she created with her magic "We have tried time and time again to prove that you don't have to risk yourself for us we are strong enough to handle it. You need to start having faith in others Jack." She waited letting it all sink in "Please consider these words until I return, Maple says there's something urgent in the throne room that needs my attention. I won't let it take long." In a flash of light she was gone. Outside the dream she stood up and said to the others "Let's see what's so important." The others being, Fluttershy and Discord. Woody had already left.

Maple waved the others good bye and sat down until they weren't coming back. When she knew they where gone Chrysalis undisguised again, Throwing the real Maple, Which she had turned invisible, to the side using her webbing to keep her there. "Jack we meet again." She said smiling

Jack was thinking deeply.

'She is right, i need to have more trust in others, so far we have lasted far longer then i had expected once i knew the invasion was going to happen.'

'But it is just hard to not being afraid of them dying, i have witnessed people die wich a cared about deeply, lost about 3 families wich i considered the world of me in a span of 7 years, just how can i not be afraid of it to happen again?'

'But then again, my need for my own sacrifice not just been to end my own pain, seeing my father and much later my own mentor do these very things just to give me a future, started to make me think, is that my destiny too? am i destined to sacrifice myself so that all these people here can live? I was wrong in that, no matter how much my feelings are telling me it is the right thing to do. it is not.' Jack thought.

"Wake up, Jack I need you opinion on something" Chrysalis said mischievously attempting to wake Jack. She shook him. Her reason she was here was she needed to know something. "Come on stupid not pony. Get up it's important!" She yelled smacking her hoof against Jacks chest.

When Woody got there Celestia stood up from her throne and said gently "Oh Woodland, Good. I actually need your help with something since you're here."

Woody looked confused for a second then shook it off "Right what is it Princess? I'm ready to help."

"Please check on your mothers friends. I fear something may have happened to at least one of them since it has been so long." Celestia's request wasn't too big for Woody he nodded and disappeared from stopping and resuming time. After a bit long Luna, Twilight, Discord, And Fluttershy all ran into the room "Whoa where the fire sister?"

Luna flinched hearing her sister joke about it. "Maple said that you needed to speak with us..."

Jack suddenly woke up, and his eyes widened as he saw Chrysalis, the last one expecting to look for him.

"Types like you are always becoming restless when not getting having your way, is that it?" He said while narrowing his eyes.

[Maple Bat 3,568]

"Listen Jack, just listen. If I was here to do something to you I wouldn't have woken you. I only subdued Maple because she wouldn't let me near you for any reason" She had a look of almost fear in her eyes, with a hint of sorrow in her voice. "My ally, Treasured took some sort of injection and then his eyes turned this weird golden color and he turned... Unstable..." Chrysalis heard someones approach, closed and locked the door. "He became obsessed with becoming stronger really quickly, Before he left to kill Maple he had been killing my changelings relentlessly in attempts to grow more powerful. It honestly was scary how powerful he had become. Is that really what happens to those that they take?" Her voice sounded full of regret at this point.

Jack looked confused.

"Well... yeah, that is why most of them do it in the first place, but why would he then take something like that? It's utter lunacy to inject yourself with that." Jack said, not understanding what Chrysalis was getting at.

"That's the thing, His desire to kill your friends overwhelmed his logical thinking and he apparently offered to bring you back in exchange for it's power." Chrysalis was scared "It's like his personality just deteriorated until all he could think about was killing her." She waved her hoof to Maple "He didn't even care about the Alicorns anymore. If that's what those monsters do then perhaps I shouldn't be helping them." She said "So Jack... Can you forgive?"

Maple started to wake up. When her attempts to stand where thwarted she took a minute before reacting.

'It is what I should have had expected, the greed for power is alway strongest among the evil types.' Jack thought.

"I am sorry, but forgiveness is something I cannot yet give, because of you aiding him, lots of lives had already been doomed, and by that extension, given those monsters even more power." Jack said with a frown.

[Maple Bat 3,568]

Chrysalis expected that. "Then perhaps you could just tell your friends not to kill me or my changelings then we could help you beat them. I thought that these people would help me gather love. But those... things have no emotions. I can't get new food for Changelings or myself. I know now what I did was wrong and I want to make up for it."

Maple attempted to get up again after hearing Chrysalis. "Is this a dream?" Maple asked pretending to be delusional "Because that didn't sound like something chrysalis would ever say. What you said outside was a bit more 'Chrysalis' "

"Maple I'm interested in helping you!" She turned to Maple and walked over kneeling next to her. "I said that because I need to disguise as you to enter alone. The only way to do that was by knocking you out." Chrysalis looked back at Jack "So can I help Equestria with this problem or not?"

"Sorry, but that is not for me to decide, you will have to plea with the rulers of Equestria for that, if you truly want to help us, then ask them, not us." Jack said.

"You ask them, you could gain my trust and forgiveness perhaps." Jack said with a frown.

[Maple Bat 3,568]

"Don't be arrogant Jack." Chrysalis said. "If I go attempt to talk to the princesses they won't forgive me. The only pony who ever offered me that was Starlight glimmer, Twilight apprentice. But I need-"

"Well there's good reason, you... on Shining and Candace's special day tried to take over equestria" Maple said angrily at her.

"... The thing I need to tell you both. I watched the battle that took place in the crystal empire." She paused "After you guys left I went over to Treasured and... He's still alive an-"

"What!" Maple shouted "N... No way. Moonshadow stabbed him through the chest with a broad sword."

"Could you please stop interrupting me! When I went over to him he attacked me" Chrysalis said looking at a wound she had on her chest. "He said I betrayed him and tried to kill me. If neither you will help me seek forgiveness. Then at least take my warning to heart." She teleported away for now.

"If he is truly infected then it's no wonder he survived, the healing capabilities must have kicked in." Jack said.

He then looked at Maple.

"Maple, we are constantly letting them come to us, but perhaps it is time we put them to the sword. We should send everything we have against them, not leaving the strongest of us behind this time, but mount an assault with everything we have, then we can make some big process, Because if i am going to be honest? They are picking us apart one of by one while they are construction more things like conversion centers, while we are only performing small operations as of now, wich will be our demise should we keep this up." Jack said with determination.

 

[Maple Bat 3,568]

"Agreed Jack!" Maple said "But... Before you leave could you help me up first?" She said referencing the webbing across her body.

Woody meanwhile was checking on Pinkie pie he had just finished talking with her he waved her goodbye and stopped time. And went to go to Applejack's farm just to check it like He had promised. When he arrived there He was disheartened. While most of the trees where ok they weren't in the best shape due to lack of care. He turned around and saw ponyville Completely abandon "Wow..." He said looking at his home, it had become a ghost town.

Jack nodded. "Sadly I cannot walk just yet but.... I can still do this." He said as he fired a magical blast that cut the webbing apart."

"Tough i have good news, but i rather wait for everyone to be back when i am going to announce, including Celestia, because i made a discovery, but its not just the temple that i have found from my spell." Jack said with a smile.
