"Indeed, I can never seem to figure them out, when they are feral they act like wild predators, but once they actually get connected to their link, they suddenly start to develop combat tactics, but I guess the even worse part is that these planets are swarming with those creatures like it has become its new local population." Jack said with dismay.

"Chances are a 50-50 when it comes to finding help, either we find a group of survivors somewhere past this desert or we find another set another set of ruins and wastelands, which is at least better than this desert, to say the least."

"Come to think of it.. We would still need to find a food source, this is going to be a bit of a problem. The only kind of food source i could think of is the meat from those infected, but we would need to be absolutely desperate if we where going to resort of that level. Atleast 3 of us are herbivores, wich are still able to eat plants. But the 3 of us.. We would need to find something else."

Fluttershy had been getting more and more relaxed as they flew across the problem was about 3/4 of the way to where they were going to land, She may have gotten too relaxed and Festus dropped her. "N... NO!" Festus shouted diving after her managing go swoop from the dive lessening the fall but they both hit the sand and rolled. He quickly examined Fluttershy, she was ok but had lost consciousness at some point which caused her to be so relaxed.  Oh no... What do I do now... with any luck they didn't see us fall?

Ember Naturally was the first to react, She flew down drawing her weapon as she set Jack down. "So... Jack we got a plan B? Because we should've seen this coming..."

Celestia Landed too "Star... Take Fluttershy and Jack and run."

Star scoffed "And leave you, princesses, to die? No way... Festus, Jack. Keep the Pegasus safe while we figure something out."

"Damn..." Jack muttered.

He then realized something.

"Alright, I might have one more thing doesn't involve one of us dying horribly, with lots of luck at least."

"Listen up, stay extremely close to me and keep your heart beats at a slow pace, I am gonna try and sneak us straight through the herd. I know of a method that MIGHT trick them as reconizing us as one of them, but since this method doesn't really work yet on any other of you because of DNA structures, i am going to try and mask us entire, but stay as close to me as you can alright? With any luck, we will be sneaking straight trough this entire horde without any casualties." Jack said grimly.

Celestia shook her head. "If they haven't seen us yet then we can get away from them given our location," Celestia pointed and The hoard was in the other direction so they have covered a lot of ground, "but... Fluttershy's unconscious and when she wakes up her heart's going to race out of panic... Meaning we need to cover a lot of ground but if we move too quickly too soon, They'll come after us anyways... I could teleport us a short distance away... But I don't know how much that'll help."

After more examination, Festus found what had happened to Fluttershy and looked horrified. He had been holding Fluttershy too tightly while gliding and the Bullet and been hurting her the whole time.  T.. this is my fault...

Jack blinked for a second, and then give a small sigh

'I am glad I don't have actually had to attempt my plan... Why does it keep popping up in my head in the first place? I just cannot believe how I would think that would have been a good idea..' Jack thought.

"They might find us regardless, they might have become mindless beings, but if there is one thing they still possess it is their natural abilities and instincts, which means they could end up tracking us regardless if a physic link is creating between them... So moving slowly is the worst thing we could possibly do as they would overrun us without much effort. Teleportation, flying, anything that increases our traveling speed helps at this point."

"But I admit, I am running out of options here too, I sadly not a war commander or a survival expert, which means I can only know so much.. Do whatever sounds best to you as long as it doesn't include anything regarding sacrificing or one of us dying." Jack said desperately

Celestia nodded and her horn started to glow, And she teleported everyone near her When the group reappeared they were in an abandoned city, it looked like that at least. "Well... Anywhere is better than where we were. We should scavage a bit..."

Ember nodded "Perhaps find a fortified, well the most fortified building and take shelter for a while."

Jack looked surprised around him.

"You really underestimate your powers Celestia, do you know how far we teleported? This is a miracle." Jack said with awe.

He then shook himself out of his current awe.

"Ember is right, but we should be careful though, who knows what might be in these buildings, make sure to check every single room, because infected still tend to linger in those buildings." Jack advised.

"Tough perhaps we should first decide who does what, this might be a good opportunity." He said.

Ember Smiled "I'm glad to be outta there. I'll go look for anything we can use. You all get safe." She said flying off.

Celestia nodded to her as she flew off. "I just hope we can find others on this planet... Maybe they'll be able to help us... But then again how do we know they'll help us when we do find them?"

"Trust, that's how. It's something we all need to have right now." Festus added looking at all the buildings near them

"I hope so too, while there are so many friendly survivor groups out there, there will also be bandit groups out there." Jack said.

"We should perhaps get into that building." Jack said pointing somewhere in the distance.

"If we are lucky, they might still have a functioning radio somewhere, you would be surprised what they leave behind sometimes." Jack said as he went inside the building.

As he went inside, he was looking through rooms, but he sadly did not find anything good, as he descended into the basement area, he suddenly realised something.

"This is a survival shelter..." Jack muttered to himself.

"Wich means..." he looked around and to his luck, he found a radio, an old but big one standing on a dusty table.

"Hopefully it still works."

As he turned on the power button, it made that radio sound, which indicated it was on, which caused Jack to creep a smile on his face.

'Good.. now if I remember the channel frequency correctly... I hope this one still works, or if anyone using this channel is still alive, considering how old this channel is.' Jack thought.

As he grabbed the microphone, he clicked on a button, he then started talking.

"Hello? I am not even sure if anyone will be able to hear this tough... My name is Jack Gonriel, I am with another group, we managed to escape from the slave-trading center of the planet Iophus, we are now stranded in some sort of desert, which is stretching out for who knows how long. One of our members, named Fluttershy has been shot, a bullet is now stuck somewhere near her ribcage, and without proper medical attention, she is going to die. But at the same time we are all in a tight spot, i am starting to feel weaker with every passing moment, i might even have gotten of those diseases, but i guess i am not one wanting to worry the others about my current situation at the moment, knowing we already have one who is suffering badly. So if anyone is out there, we could use all the help we can get, getting off this planet is our main priority, but every bit of help would do us wonders. May we all stand united in the coming darkness." Jack then turned off the microphone button as he laid back, forgetting to turn off the radio itself.

Celestia was very confused about what had just done, "Who were you talking with? I don't see anyone there... Is that thing a form of communication?"

Festus nodded, "Radio, That thing can reach between planets maybe even back to Equestria... It's a powerful piece of equipment."

Star wanted to use it in case her son was near a radio but she had no idea how that worked.

Maple wasn't good, She had lost one of her mechanical legs from the events at a recent center she had been damaged heavily, due to her reckless decision of going by herself into the center, she didn't die though but she had to get the body fixed. She opened the doors to Caersons room "C...Caerson..." She said nervously. "I need help..."

"Indeed, its also a good thing that I am talking a private channel, which means only specific radio's who use the same frequency can reach this, but this specific one is almost unknown except for some in higher places of the resistance, which means our enemies won't be able to hear any this." Jack said with a smile but in a bit of a tired tone.

'I  am glad they did not hear certain things that i mentioned on the radio, the last thing i want them to do is know about my sickness at the moment with Fluttershy's condition now, i should perhaps be more careful with what i say..' Jack thought with relief.

Caerson looked around and saw Maple's damage.

"Maple, it is not a good sign if you end up receiving this amount of damage only after getting this body recently, you are lucky I am able to maintain the repairs of your body, but there will come times when there will be no such things, you really need to be more careful." He said with a deep sigh, not particularly happy that his newest gift had to be repaired only so short after it has been built.

He, however, looked when one of his radios suddenly gave off a signal.

"Do you think you could answer that? Just press that red button, it's bigger then most ones, so you should be able to find it. Normally i would answer it myself but i rather not wait with getting your damage fixed up." He said as he walked away to get one of his specific tools.

Maple nodded "Sure I'll get it..." She moved over to it and pressed largest red button "Hello?" She said into the machine's microphone "This is Maple... And you are?"

Fluttershy had started to stir when Jack used the radio. "Wh... Where are..." She sighed "Did I do good?" Eventually Maple's voice came through the Radio. and when it did Fluttershy nearly jumped into the ceiling pushing Jack out of the way "Maple!"

"Mom?" Maple said through it "Where are you guys?"

"Maple... I thought you where..." Fluttershy stopped speaking.

"What's going on? Somethings happening I know it." Maple replied.

"Ok Fluttershy, that was a bit tense for someone who was just unconscious a few seconds ago." Jack said half joking as he stood up.

He, however, then realised that someone was talking to him on the radio, and who it was in particular.

"Wait... Maple is that you? Did you get that new body?" He asked in a bit of surprise, hearing her voice suddenly, expecting her to be the last to talk to them via this private channel.

"Well, to keep it short, we had been kidnapped and brought trough one of the most dangerous planets, those bastards shot your mother and we are all now stranded in some desert, luckily Celestia managed to teleport us to a deserted city, but things are still looking dire..."

"Say, where is Luna? Is she doing okay?" Jack asked.

 

[Maple Bat 3,568]

"Yea, The body's working quite well." Maple said in triumph "Though Cearson needs to repair it because I overestimated its abilities. Other than that it's done. Luna's... been better... She's a little stressed out about 'Tia but other than that she's alright..." There was a sound coming through the radio occasionally sounding like sparks. "D...Did you say they shot Mom? Is she ok!"

"I'm fine Maple... I'm more glad you are..." Fluttershy said calming down "Is there a way Maple could get to us? She doesn't need oxygen anymore so could she just fly here?"

Jack gave a sad look for a moment regarding what Maple said about Luna, before it was quickly he quickly recovered himself.

He, however, frowned a bit at Fluttershy's question, not entirely sure what she meant by that.

"Fluttershy, this is not exactly a fly to fly situation, currently we are light years away from Equestria, using a spaceship would take a really long time without proper methods of speeding up. Infact.. I am afraid this time it won't be so easy to find a pop in pop out situation, we are technically stranded if you think about it. If only it were so easy..." Jack said.

"Anyway... you 2 have some time to catch up, I am going to help out Ember for a bit." Jack said as he walked away, although the reason was pretty clear why he walked away, instead of the reason he said.

[Maple Bat 3,568]

It was around then Luna had walked onto Caerson's room and saw maple, "What happened to you?" She heard part of Jack's voice, wait was that Jack?"

"Went into a conversion center alone...and yes it was, want to talk with him?... He sounds like he needs some emotional support from you." Maple said to her. "I need Caerson to make the repairs anyways."

"Hey Jack, Wait!" Maple said. "Luna wants to speak with you!"

Fluttershy replied on the radio, "I'll go get him, keep Luna there..." She said running towords where he went. "Jack! Don't go just yet. Luna's on the thing and she wants to talk."

Jack looked at Fluttershy with surprise.

"R-really?" He asked in surprise.

he walked back down.

"Luna, is that really you?" He asked with surprise, not expecting this to happen, but he was happy, that much was confirmed.

[Maple Bat 3,568]

"Jack! It... really is you... Oh my, I really hope you forgive me... I can't belive that I just let all this happen." Luna said, "I'm sorry I wasn't there to help you... But Woody is on his way."

Maple walked over to Caerson. "You alright? Need help?"

Fluttershy jumped "What?! How?"

Luna's voice came through again "He met someone, he taught him how to use the deamon realm... something about his mother's there and needs help..."

Star looked up. "Wait... Who's the person's name?"

"I... think it was... Windphaser..." Luna said.

"What! I thought he wasn't coming back..." Star looked confused "He's alive! He's coming here!" She looked amazed.

"Don't worry, I forgive you, it was my fault after all. I just want to be done with all this fighting, i am getting tired, so tired of having to go from one backlash trough another..." Jack with a few teary eyes.

"Tough its almost hard to believe, is Woody really tearing straight to the Demon realm for us like this?" Jack said surprised, where one his friends is trying to go trough a place where he himself had started to grow a mental fear off.

"I just i can come back soon, or alive for that matter, seeing the situation we are in..."

"I feel like he is close now but I'm not sure... I can't really track him in any way... Let's just hope he makes it to you in time. But are you ok? Who else is with you? and how bad are things." Luna asked him the 3 questions rather rapidly.

Ember came back with a few things mostly canned goods, the kind they kept in shelters and stuff, plus some water. It wasn't much but it was enough for all of them. "This is all I could find... I searched as much as I could... I'm... Lucky I didn't get hurt though it came close."

Fluttershy wanted to take something so badly but she didn't want to take any from the others. She was happy Woody was on the way to them at least he'd make it all the better for her.

"I have been feeling sick since lately, but other that I am doing.. decent enough. But Celestia, Fluttershy, and Festus are with me now, and, Ember just came back with things she found."

"But i am afraid this good feeling is not going to last, because we are still in no man's land, and by know i know just how deceiving these places be, one moments its calm but the other moment they are sending in massive strike forces in order to hunt us down.. I can't deny that i am just more scared then ever having to be in such a place once again.."

"Stay safe for now Jack... I worry about you a lot." Luna said worried "Make sure you tell my sister that I worry about her too, I don't know if I can keep leading alone."

Fluttershy had, inevitably, taken a water and started drinking it. She felt a lot of her strength return. "Jack you may want to take something here it's not the best but it's better than nothing and you can have any food that was supposed to be for me..."

"I will, she should be close. But could you please promise me one thing?"

"Don't leave my side again." He said with a bit of tears.

he then looked at Fluttershy.

"Thanks but it might be better if you hold on to it a bit longer, I just don't feel like using it at the moment." Jack said, wanting to give out his share of the food and water to someone else, out of tendency

Luna sighed "I won't. Promise. Good luck to everyone." She said before switching off the Radio's mic.

"No... You need these things, Take at least a drink now you cannot keep going like this Jack you need at least something... Please." Fluttershy said handing him a bottle "You don't need to give your supplies to someone else I can be without them for now anyways."

"I guess you are right, though I don't feel very comfortable with this." Jack admitted.

As he drank a bit, he eventually gave it back to Fluttershy.

"I really need to check out the streets tough, i just want to be sure that we won't be ambushed by anything." He said as he walked back upstairs.

"You want to check out the streets with me?" he asked Festus
