"Yeah, it doesn't really help that I from a very well known bloodline, but i guess i shouldn't be celebrating so soon, i can't exactly say that I am happy with soon having to fight my way through one of the most dangerous places, but i can't really avoid it either." Jack said.

It was about 15 minutes later that Karthspire arrived, he carrying something pretty big.

"Well, here it is what we have been working on for so long, this is a type of armour that is specifically crafted for vernomians, but this design contains technology that is no longer obtainable, it has an inbuild device in it that can generate an invisble layer around the wearer wich creates so to say a magical shield around the body, but instead of having to use the magic, there is a very small generator build straight in the armour that generates the layer itself, wich does have to be refueled after about a certain amount of missions. But what is even better, is that with this armour, you are also capable of linking minds to each other, to give an example, you 2 should be able to talk and hear eachothers tought, wich is even superior then telephaty or radio chats, since no one can intercept these, its your mind that you use to talk to each other. There is also a leather saddle on the upperside. So should you 2 get seperated by any means, your toughts would be linked, wich means you could even send thoughts each other in forms of pictures from what you imagine so to say." Karthspire said with pride.

"I believe that shield and the thought thing are from Eldritch origin?" Jack asked curiously.

"Could very well be, or even older, some of the things were not even collected by ourselves but were a gift from other survivors." Karthspire said.

There where 2 mechanics working Maple, there was one using some sort of tool that was lassing together some of the lose plating while the other one was reading through some sketches.

"Well... What are you waiting for... Let's try it on!" Evelyn said excited walking over to the armor and starting to put it on herself. After a few minutes she manged to get the whole armor set on. She moved around in it for a few seconds getting used to it. "Nice. I like it." She said looking at herself in it. "How tough is the material?"

"Maple. Is everything ok here? Just came to check on you."

"Yep these 2 here definitely know what they're doing." She smiled at the one welding her chest plate. "I should be ready for when we go to attack that trader... person."

"It's very tough, it might perhaps not rival the strongest armours in the galaxy but one thing for sure is that its very light, which means you won't be sacrificing speed and mobility. Wish we could produce more of these because you now have the durability of a heavily armoured tank, but fast as well." Karthspire said with a smirk.

"How about you 2 go for a flight? If you 2 are going to be working together as well you need to get used to fighting like that, it's going to take a bit of practice though." He suggested.

"Alright sure," Evelyn said. "Jack if you are gonna fly with me I'm gonna be moving really quickly. So you best hold on to that saddle as your life depends on it." She laughed. "I'm not joking either."

"Good to hear Maple." Luna said examining what happened "Well I must return to consult Jack on something before the battles begin so I must go, Just wanted to be sure you were ok." She said walking back to the others. "Thanks for the bit of closure."

"Don't worry I will, I will have to get used to it anyways." Jack said with a nod.

"You might want to take those words back kid, she is not exaggerating." Karthspire said with a chuckle

Jack tried to climb on but it was a bit too high for him to reach first.

'I will climb on an another way, perhaps something I used to do alot.' Jack thought.

He walked a bit back before he starts running really fast and performed a free running move by jumping as high as he could and then using his foot to gain momentum further to reach the saddle.

'A bit too much for just mounting but it will have to do.' He thought.

"I am ready." Jack said with a smile.

Evelyn waited for a second so Jack would get settled into the saddle. "3...2...1..." She took off quickly like a bullet leaving a chamber leaping forward and using her wings to go as fast as she could right as she left the ground.

"Was... Jack on Evelyn's back?" Luna asked walking up to Karthspire.

Jack was a bit suddenly overwhelmed by the sudden speed that they took off from.

"I knew you were fast, but this is just unbelievable!" Jack said in awe, he was clutching his legs between the saddle as he was also leaning forward into it to get a better position while they were going at this kind of speed.

"You got that one right, we had just developed a new kind of armour wich Evelyn is wearing right now. This project was started years ago and was meant for someone else at first, but then i figured it would fit better with her anyways. And you can't deny that this is superior than a fighter jet." Karthspire said with a laugh.

"I told you. It's fast!" Evelyn said with a smile. "You want me to slow down a bit?" She had asked but really she was slowing down due to loss of momentum caused by air resistance but she was stilling going incredibly fast

Luna watched and saw her slow down "I'd imagine her and our resident fastest flyer, Rainbow Dash, Would have quite the contest against each other if they went head to head." Luna laughed having no idea what a Fighter Jet was.

"That would be preferable, it's hard for me to not get blown off at that speed, i guess i need to work on that." Jack said.

"Yeah, that could quite end quite the race, even though I don't know this Rainbow Dash. It is also one of our biggest advantages, battles from air are vastly superior then on the ground, for one thing, that most of their enemies cannot fly, but for even better, its travels alot faster and saver, compared to on the ground where almost everything is infested with the infected and all the rubbish they left behind." Karthspire said.

Evelyn slowed down drastically going half the speed she was going before "Learn to take me seriously next time." She laughed looking at him while flying in smooth circles the air felt cool even though they were in a desert. It must've been the altitude making it that cool

Luna watched the two carefully "So what's the point of the exercise then? Testing the armor?"

Jack looked around from the sky, really enjoying the view.

"It is quite the scenery, this desert must be spanning out for lots of miles." He noted to himself.

He then suddenly got an idea.

"Do you often perform air combat manoeuvres? I was thinking, should we try out a barrel roll? If we now technically practising as well, it might a good idea to try it out for we might need to do it in combat should the situation require." Jack suggested.

"Bit of both, since they are going to be working together, this is a good idea since they will get used to it, which makes it alot more comfortable than having to depend on an entirely new situation that they are not prepared for. It handles alot better in very tight situations." Kathspire said.

Luna watched and something bothered her "And your plan if he falls off is... What exactly?" She said looking at Karthspire nervously.

"Loop first. It's easier then a roll if you can take it. Ready? Cause here I go." Evelyn sped up and started to loop in the air she went quickly through it and slowed back down to the same speed "You ok?"

"It's an easy solution, Jack should grab on tightly by instinct, but should he fall off, Evelyn would catch him back really fast, there is a reason why she chose such a high altitude in the first place." Karthspire said with a smile.

Before they started, instead of placing his legs between the saddle like usual, he instead stood on it, and he grabbed the front tightly with his hands, he then gave the ready sign.

When the barrel roll happened, he got almost yanked out of his grip but held tight still.

When it was over, Jack was hanging at the lower side of the saddle, still with his left arm hanging while the other one had not been able to endure the pressure.

"Y-yeah, i am fine, tough i do need a bit of help here." Jack said with a little fear.

"Could you please catch me with your forepaws? I can't really climb back up the saddle with one arm, so I have to do it this way." Jack said, even though he was not very sure of it himself.

Evelyn nodded to him and then threw him off, him going upwards. She flew up a bit and caught him "You good? Or should take a break? If your arm hurts we can stop." Evelyn sorta sounded worried but overall she figured he was ok she just didn't want him to fall and her not be able to catch him.

When Jack was thrown off Luna braced herself to catch him but relaxed when Evelyn caught him. "That was close." She sighed

"I am good, but perhaps we should do a bit slower paced flying now." Jack said less scared now.

"Agreed, but like I said, its why she chose such a high altitude in the first place. I guess its also to prepare for very bad scenario's, it's better to know how to work it out before then having to work out in the moment it happens out there, without preparation you will be in alot of obstacles that will make your task even harder in the end, but don't worry, they will get the hang of it. It all goes at its own pace." Karthspire said.

Evelyn shook her head "Break it is then. We cant go that slow trust me it's for the best... probably." She said descending to the ground "At the very least we've gotta get you back in the saddle. Which is hard in the air." She eventually reached the ground landing with a *thud* and setting Jack down.

Jack gave her a fast nod as he made a running start and jumped upwards, climbing back in the saddle.

"Alright, I am ready." He said as he clasped his legs between the saddle again.

"It is a good sign that i am getting used to this fast tough!" he said with a smile.

"Alright Let's keep going!" Evelyn said taking off, She did and roll while going full speed and Jack getting tossed off she quickly flew to him and caught him on the saddle "Sorry. Spun too soon, "She chuckled. "This armor is nice though how's the ride?"

"It is going great, i can't believe i forgot how much i enjoy flying, even though I cannot do it myself, I always used to climb the highest buildings to compensate for something like that, but it would never be enough to reach this kind of level." Jack said with a smile.

"I know a fair bit of history, and i think this armour dates back to thousands of years ago but has been reshaped to bit for a Vermonian the colour scheme and the technology used with it make it clear to me." Jack noted

Fluttershy had been blindfolded, but that blindfold was soon ripped from her view as Yefim was staring into her eyes with a wicked grin.

"It's wake-up time my little horse." He said.

Fluttershy was in a pretty small room, all the walls were made of steel and gave off an eerie feeling.

Fluttershy had been sitting very still but she had been awake for the last bit of her being moved around. She cowered before the person "Where am I?" She flinched at even the slightest of Yefim's movements "P...Please... I don't mean you  harm...  please." She looked around the room nervously not sure of who she was looking at or where she was. She tried to get as far from Yefim as she could.

"Oh? But I mean harm to you if you won't comply with my questions that is." He said as he called some guards who chained Fluttershy to the wall.

"And now... Where are they hiding? The white horse, the 2 dragons, my wife, and the Eldritch child.. Where are they?" He asked with venom in his eyes.

Fluttershy looked at him, Still scared. "I don't know, They left me behind so how would I know." She looked down and braced for the worst. "And I if I did know I wouldn't tell you. I know you're going to kill me in the end anyway so why bother..." She sounded rather brave for a very foolish decision but truly she had no idea where the others had gone only which way they started to go.

Yefim smirked.

"Who said I was going to outright kill you? I am not one to squander my investments. Besides... I know you are partly lying, they left trails behind along where they found you, and no group would wander through this desert without a destination." He said.

"But I think you lack something specific, something that I am going to fix." He said with a nod towards the guards, who started marching 3 individuals in the room, they were shackled on their feet and hands, and were gagged in the mouth so they could not talk, neither could they see from their blindfolds.

"Now... Are you going, to tell the truth, or I should just kill one of them instead? Would you feel good about yourself when you realise that you could have prevented their deaths?" He threatened.

"Please! Don't hurt them. I've told you all I know. We... We were going to fly over to the desert again but I had suffered wounds from the fight beforehand so I couldn't keep myself in the air. The others I guess they just... Forgot about me." She looked at Yefim "P... Please. If you must harm someone don't harm them for what I don't know. I'll tell you anything I know but please... I don't want anyone to get hurt and the subject at hoof here... I've told you everything I know."

"We? And what about those claw prints in the trail? I am not buying it, who aided your group? The trails had started before you collapsed, which means you SAW those tigers, and they had riders from the pattern they were moving. What did they look like? TALK!" He said with a dangerous undertone.
