Denim&Venöm 19,274 July 9, 2017 Share July 9, 2017 A continuity of government plan involves a lien of succession for someone to lead a country in the event of a war or disaster that woudl threaten the country and claim the lives of it's leaders. Int he case of the Untied States, there woudl be a line of about 17 people ready to take command should something happen to the president. This is also the case for government agencies in both the state and federal level. Organizations like FBI, the post office or the FAA would break up into teams and relocate to safer areas, continuing even if one falls. Preservation of a country also goes to cultural artifacts from the Declaration of Independence to historical artwork. So then, the question is, does Equestria appear to have these systems in place? There were hints back during S4:E1, when Celestia & Luna disappeared and authority was differed to Twilight. A similar idea occurred during Twilight's Kingdom, when the Princesses gave Twilight there power in order to keep it from falling into enemy hands. But outside of those two, we haven't really seen any other examples. From the fall of the Crystal Empire to Tirek's rampage, were there any plans to preserve Equestria's government & cultural artifacts as well as a succession of power? What artifacts would be the most crucial to conserve? What agencies woudl be the most key to functioning? And say that something happened to the all the Princesses. Who would be a part of the next chain of command? Who would be in charge, and who would be in charge after them, and then after them? Serious stuff to think about. BlueStreak98 828 July 10, 2017 Share July 10, 2017 Well, there are other forms of government at the local levels, so it's possible that there's a regional commission as well. It could work like the US congress does and move down the chain based on seniority at the position. 1 "I still believe that peace and plenty and happiness can be worked out some way.
