chaosprincess 1,067 August 2, 2017 Share August 2, 2017 (edited) Hello everyone I decided to make this topic to help anyone that may have questions on their animals now I am not a vet so if your pet has any broken bones, is deadly sick etc take it to a vet well that's pretty much it so ask away I will try and answer all your questions to the best of my ability. And if this is the wrong area for this topic I am sorry I was not 100% sure on where to place this. Edited August 2, 2017 by chaosprincess

Misty Shimmer 915 August 2, 2017 Share August 2, 2017 Thank you I (like every living thing in this world) love fluff balls, but I know I must be practical, so cats and dogs are ruled out because I wouldn´t be capable of caring for them with my work hours, also I must be able to transport them (in case a travel). I thought about reptilians maybe but I know nothing about how to care for them

I thought about reptilians maybe but I know nothing about how to care for them Reptiles are a little more difficult since they do require a heat source now not all of them require lighting, but they do require heat since they are cold blooded now there are reptiles for beginners, but since you don't know much about them and would be traveling perhaps amphibians and reptiles are not for you. But other animals that would better suite since you do work and would like to bring them in a traveling case perhaps a hamster or rat? rats are very affectionate now like with any animal some are testier then others or you could try for a guinea pig, but they can be loud and may not always want to be touched or picked up it depends on the guinea pig itself. So with all that said I would have to say a rat, but if your not to fond of rats then I would go with a hamster either one would fit into your schedule and would be able to be placed into a traveling case in order to travel with you I am sorry if I was not to much of a help, but I do hope you find your perfect little friend.

I haven´t though of that, I´ll keep it in mind Your very welcome just keep in mind as well that traveling can be very stressful for animals so some may not survive the trip so you'll have to prepare the animal weeks before you travel if you happen to just make the animal as comfortable as you can and get it use to being in the carrier in order to travel now larger animals are a bit better with it, but smaller animals have a tad more trouble I only say weeks before so that way there is plenty of time for the animal to be ready for the day when it does come. Now before you do get any animal think about the time you'll be able to spend with the animal as cute as they are I already know you know, but they do need some outside of cage time, cleanings etc so you really need to think if you'd be able to have the time for it and would traveling be good for the animal and you also need to think about the time if your unable to travel with the animal would you be able to have somebody that knows about animals watch it and care for it? just think about it before you get any animal now I am not saying you should not own an animal I am just simply saying think about if you'd have the time for the animal and would it benefit the animal to travel and if unable to travel would you be able to have somebody care for it?
Misty Shimmer 915 August 2, 2017 Share August 2, 2017 What about international traveling? I won´t travel for long periods of time, so I can get somebody to watch my pet. But I will need to travel a couple of times in two or three years, and posibly move out for good. What to do then?

Perhaps maybe you should wait on a pet since you know your traveling and possibly moving for good maybe you should wait until everything is settled due to its hard traveling with animals and on top of that you also have to pay a fee to bring an animal with you if you fly and all animals need specific things that need to met or they can die as for the somebody watching them you really have to be careful because they may decide not to show up to care for the animal, they may not follow instructions etc which can end your pets life. So I think maybe you should hold off on getting a pet until everything is settled and then maybe you can get a betta they are easy to care for they do need a 2 gallon tank or higher , they need a low flow filter, a heater, never place 2 bettas or more together they will kill each other, don't feed them to many pellets it can cause swim bloat which means it expands their stomach which causes them to sink or float on their side I feed my betta 2 pellets every other day and he is happy with that other then all that they are easy to care for.
