Ok, so I know Alex S, like, the real Alex S. And he asked me to join in his new band ( the name is slipping my mind at the moment. I have a lugit reason why I can't remember. Not saying here ). Anyways, I told him I wanna learn dubstep and he's willing to teach me. But I don't wanna wait for our first lesson, I wanna start now!! I've got FLStudios producer version and it's so damn confusing! Anyways, can anyone help me? At all? It'd be very appreciated.

I understand. I'd give anything to have him teach me. That's seriously awesome :D

But for FL Studio, when you first open the program you will see a "browser" on the left. This is where all the instruments are stored. In the middle is the "step sequencer" which is where you will be playing the notes of whatever instrument you have selected. On the right is the "playlist" which is where you peice together your song.

First thing to do is on the upper left where it says "file, edit, channels, ect." Click on "Channels - add one - Sytrus" Sytrus is a synth plug in for FL Studio, that has a wide variety of instruments. Once you add Sytrus it will pop up in the middle, and also add itself to your step sequencer. If you click the little arrow on the upper left of Sytrus and the click presets, you can select which sound you want to play. Click any one you want.

Once you do that, click the arrow on the upper left of Sytrus again, and click "Piano Roll". This is where you will be adding notes for that instrument.

Experiment with that for a bit, and see what you come up with. FL Studio has a ton of features, and I won't be able to go over them all tonight since I have work in the morning, but that should get you started.

I can help you again tomorrow if you need it, just let me know
