“There are three plans, I would say,” Malchoir says, wishing to change the subject back to the plan-making itself, “The first is just leaping in. This is the quickest solution and time is of the essence in terms of the captured relatives. Unfortunately, I rate our chances of victory as extremely low and, if we get splattered, we doom a lot more than just a few family members.

“The second choice is the sneaky way in. However, the thing is that, well, that failed quite handily last time. The good part is that it is probably not much slower and we can always switch back to the first plan if that fails, which it likely would.

“The third choice is to go off and take a different angle. Build up our forces. Find allies or just generally build our own forces. THEN launch a direct attack. This is the most reliable of the options, but also the slowest.

He thinks for a moment and decides to add another. “Actually, a fourth option is one that may or may not be available, but desperate times call for desperate measures. Do you have some powerful sealed entity who, if released, would come into conflict with our current threat?”

“I don’t work for her. I work with her. And I’m not sure she has the firepower for this. Or much firepower at all, really,” Malchoir says.

*OOC: However, if you do desire for me to bring another character in, I have one in mind.*

“Okay, well that opens up an…”

Suddenly, space briefly yet violently warps within the room and a strange winged rat is now in the room, looking rather disoriented. The rat looks around the room. Upon seeing the people in the room, the rat looks frightened and takes a fighting stance.

Malchoir maintains his fighting stance.

The rat seems taken aback when Ryan speaks. Slowly, it stops baring its teeth, though still in a fighting stance just in case. It opens its mouth again, this time to speak. “Y…You talk?”

The rat takes another step back, surprised once more but still keeping a fighting stance despite the tears forming in his eyes. “I… I don’t know. I thought I would be erased from time. I’m glad I still exist, but I don’t know how I got here and I don’t know where I am and I don’t know much at all about any of this…”

When Ryan approaches, the rat cringes and starts to bare his teeth, before hesitantly lowering his guard for a bit. “I… Sorry. I’m not used to beings who don’t want me dead.”

“Uh, wow. Kinda lead a messed-up life, huh?” Malchoir says.

“I’ve never spoken to anyone before who didn’t want to hurt me.” The rat looks around. “What do I do? What do I say?”

The rat nods. “Okay… Well, my name is Nimbus.”

“I’m Malchoir, myself,” Malchoir responds, “I’m not usually made of slime.”
