ManaMinori 4,149 October 1, 2018 Share October 1, 2018 (edited) A cosmic element that bears the shape of a nightly celestial body? Check. A magical device that allows its user to drift off to sleep with the sound of waves, which is an element ruled by the moon? Check. What the heck am I talking about? Well, you see, there's this German-made MLP comic that has been out for a while, but no one has really talked about. It's called "Der Stern der Wintertraume" (the Star of Winterdreams), and I can really only find it in full in someone's YT channel, strangely enough. But anyway, though simple, there are many aspects about it that are rather intriguing to me. The first thing that is revealed is that this star is an ELEMENT. This wording gets you thinking about the Tree of Harmony, and that a star-shaped element already exists in the center of the tree....could this be a sister element to the element of magic? Two halves of a whole sort of thing? Furthermore, Twilight states that there's a legend about this element....just as there was for the elements used by Celestia and Luna.....For such a short comic, for there to be mention of an element and a legend surrounding it seems rather suspicious and way too heavy for a one-off comic like this. Like it was something that could've been meant to be in the series itself, don't you guys think? And for the comic to show that this element...this star...puts its user to sleep with the sound of ocean waves....tides are controlled by the moon...and don't we all know of a certain beloved character who also has ties to dreams....? Hmmmm..... SharpWit 2,872 October 1, 2018 Share October 1, 2018 I'm not sure I've ever been so amused, terrified, or disgusted all at once. WTF did I just watch? This clearly wasn't made by someone with any connection to anyone working on the show or other official media. It's not being talked about because it's not credible and it's not well made. An artifact that puts you to sleep is an interesting concept and I think worthy of exploring, but this comic does it no justice.
