 Every so often, she receives a trickle of fanart from a few people on dA, but doesn't seem to really be talked about (from what I've seen). Some people may be drawn to her due to the stark contrast from the norm of sugary sweet, pastel, bright-colored ponies all throughout Equestria, but there are a handful of ponies that fit into the category (Tempest Shadow, Luna, Sombra, "Moonlight Raven"....) So what makes Inky Rose special? Why is this pony liked? What drew fans to her? What conditions do you suppose made her all closeted and drawn to the dark side? Let's talk about that.

This is pretty much an unanswerable question. You can quite literally substitute any pony name, and the answer is still..."Because people like the character?"

There’s usually a reason why people like a character. Aesthetic, relatability, etc.
