How many episodes are there going to be for Season 9??

Hey Everypony, I am wondering if there is only going to be 9 episodes of MLP:FiM season 9, or is there going to be more than just that,but they have not announced it yet. 

As I am very interested as this is the first season of which is soo short in comparison to the other seasons.

AFAIK season 9 was confirmed to be a 26-episode season; at least going by various articles, but I'm confident this is the case.

I was looking on Wikipedia and it said 9. But, I suppose they are only saying 9 to not spoil the whole season with titles that may be obvious to some.

The only reason they are showing just the nine is because those are the only episodes we have any details on regarding to title and/or synopsis. The rest will come in time likely gradually.
