Should Grogar try to charm Spike into joining him?

Still trying to find out what Spike's character arc is leading to, I know it's leading to SOMETHING! Just can't figure it out yet. So here's my next theory!

So there seems to be alota times when Spike gets mistreated from his friends and he's awfully content with himself for some weird reason. I just don't believe it. He seems so inferior from the Mane 6 and gets left out alot despite being with them all the time - I don't understand why. Regardless though, my point is, Grogar can use it to his advantage!

Grogar has his Legion of Doom, and he knows the best way to beat the Mane 6 is to beat them at their own game, right? Then he should know that they have those that support them, including Spike! If he knows Spike doesn't know his origins or his purpose, then Grogar can try bribing him with answers, in return, Spike would pledge his loyalty to him! He'd tell Spike how special he is and that the Mane Six are holding him back! NOPONY would see it coming! Who'd expect Spike to betray his closest friends? This is like in Fantastic Beasts when the bad guy tries to win over the orphan kid cause only he is powerful enough to kill Dumbledore! Grogar knows Twilight would NEVER fight her closest friend! That's what would make Spike being his apprentice the perfect plan!

Of course though, whether or not Spike believes him remains to be seen! Will he get won over and have learned his lesson later? Or Will Spike trick Grogar into thinking he won him over and doublecross him when he least expects it? I'd say the latter! But regardless, it would be a great plan and awesome for his story arc!

He wouldn't STAY with him! Of course he'd redeem himself later and help in Grogar's defeat by doublecrossing him when he least expects it!

I'm not on board with this. If Spike really did get conned into switching sides, it would throw away all of his development from the previous 8 seasons if it were that easy to just make him forget about his family and friends. If it's the latter and he's only pretending, then it would feel like a cheap shot to suddenly reveal it was all just a plot twist.

And then theres's the Spike stuff going on in tomorrow's episode - the details of which I am purposely avoiding because spoilers and such - but it sounds like it's super-important.

But then I said in the end - he would doublecross Grogar, probably cause he was faking it! That's probably the only way it would work well.

It would be clever and wouldn't throw away his development!

And I said I also wouldn't like the whole thing to be a fake-out since that feels cheap to deceive the audience like that. Besides, I'd rather he spend the last season with the regular characters rather than have him spend all that time at Grogar's side.

Understandable. Like I said, I'm still trying to figure what his arc is leading to! ;) They're only guesses!

But spike and Grogar have never even talk to each other or seen each other I don’t even think they know each other. If this   were to happen it would need to be a season long story arc.

Like I would wanna see at least 3 to 4  maybe 5 episodes where they interact.

I doubt it's really gonna happen.

Grogar just might underestimate Spike which would lead to his downfall! The evil apprentice thing was just me thinking out loud! ;)

But wouldn’t it make the story so much better thou if it did.

In a respect... but I think underestimating him might be better actually! Everyone ALWAYS underestimates Spike! His friends alot, the fandom... if he became the secret hero of the finale cause of all the times he's left out or ignored, it could be used to his advantage! That's my new theory, and I'm stickin' with it!

Exactly that’s what I’m saying but if he were to become the hero I wanna see a story arc about it focusing on him otherwise it’s just unprofessional . And since the premiere didn’t focus on him it’s very unlikely that he’ll  be the hero of the finale.

Who knows? Maybe it already started! Maybe Sparkle's Seven was the start of it! He's got episode 9 coming for him too, so we'll see how that goes!
