Story Concept Art- Irae

So for context, I have a 3 part story in progress. It's been through many drafts, and now I have finally gotten a draft that can be scripted. I want to share more on that at a later date. For now, here is a look at my villain character for this story. 

 

His name is Irae of Scalia. Originally a ruler in a land of Dragons, he is a dragon with the ability to cast magic. I will hold my tongue for now in terms of his motivations and powers, but I wanted to share his current design (along with a few concepts that didn't make the cut). I would love any critiques on his design if you have one. Thank you, and I hope you enjoy the design!

Reminds me of stuff from Don Bluth and Dragon Ball Z. The only critique I have from the get go is that I think his face is too human like, but this also isn't my style of art so that's purely subjective. Well done on getting this far! I'd love to make it to the scripting stage at some point

@SharpWit Thank you for your feedback! I will absolutely share more of the script as I get more of the art out there. For now, I have a portion of part 1 set in stone, while part 2 and 3 are in development.

@SharpWit beat me to it! I love the Don Bluth vibe this guy's got goin' on. His proportions are funky, but in a good way--like, he's kinda tortoise-proportioned, and have you seen a tortoise frickin' yeet feet when it wants to?

Yeah, I'd sh*t myself if I saw this guy barreling towards me at way-too-many-miles-an-hour. Love his helm + horn combo too, sorta reminds me of the classic iron Skyrim helm.
