Big Mac's voice missing from "Days Gone By" Song.

As much as I loved the song "Days Gone By" from the "It's a Pony Kind of Christmas" Album. The noticeable problem is that they only had Applejack, Apple Bloom, and Granny Smith sing it. But where's Big Macintosh? Could they not get Peter New to do the song at the time? Was there an official reason for him not being involved in the song? I'm just curious.

I haven't heard the song before. I'm not sure why Big Mac's voice was missing, maybe they just forgot to put him in there or didn't want to ruin the song.
