I've watched the recent doctor Wolff  episode and he discovered that there was a purple feather on argyle's collection.

this explains why the sun and the moon is still working.

but the magic is gone?

maybe not for twilight?

same situation in season 4. ?

maybe one can argue that because they lost friendship  they lost magic. magic is friendship. princess Twilight is the princess of friendship.... so she didn't lost it. what do you guys think?

one thing's for sure... argyle is getting a BIT creepy....

How did the sun and moon work before Celestia and Luna? Perhaps those work just fine without magic and ponies manipulated day/night and weather for their own advantage in agriculture and such. Perhaps technology is so advanced that ponies can now do those things without needing magic. 

Although considering how the mane six were common kid's toys and no one seemed to know much about "ancient Equestria" it's very likely that everypony we knew from G4 is dead. Maybe even seemingly inmortal beings such as Discrod died when magic went away. After all he is a being made of pure magic and seemed to begin disappearing when he stopped being chaotic.

 do you not know  WHY Celestia and Luna got their cutie mark? WHY they became a princess in the first place?

it requires MANY UNICORNS for it to make the sun and moon cycle... even star swirl is having a hard time with it.

luckily she found the 2 sisters who can easily manipulate the sun and moon.... easily. this might also be the trigger of them becoming an alicorn.....
