Rerooting help- hard plastic toy

I’ve got one of those talking Celestia toys, I bought her for dirt cheap and she’s in very poor condition, I plan to use her for a custom. However unlike the smaller brushables, her entire body is made of hard plastic, and I’m not sure how I should go about removing her head. I worry a heat gun or boiling water would melt the plastic, but I’m not entirely sure as this is my first time working with such material. Attached is a photo of the toy in question.

Unfortunately she’s going to be silly pink Celestia until I figure out how to remove the head

Sorry, I have no idea. It's a kids toy so I know it's not made to come apart. Anyway, I'll look forward to seeing it.

They might be like funko heads, you can take them off easily with really hot water and letting then soak maybe? I'll have to find one of my MLPs with a hard head and body and try it!

Well, I managed to get it off last month simply by pulling it apart really hard. Not ideal, the turning mechanism broke, but it was a very easy repair with a bit of e6000. Removing the hair, on the other hand… THAT was a challenge. I don’t have an updated photo but basically I had to cut a slit in her head in order to get any hair out at all. I’ll be making a wig for her rather than rerooting, so it should affect much. IMG_2497.thumb.jpeg.26391f3f2ba040909800d8d14252189d.jpegIMG_2410.thumb.jpeg.12b050b7808f37f25749455c11f03a52.jpegsorry for the horrid image quality and my very messy desk
