Perhaps we could have a pair of seasonal emojis. One could be a template that changes each month or for a major holiday.

Apologies for these suggestions potentially being American centric, but we could reuse Pinkie Pie celebrating by changing her hat and party blower. A spooky mask for Halloween paired with some colorful candy. A pilgrim hat and the return of throwing leaves for Fall/Thanksgiving. A Santa hat or deer antlers and some candy canes or mints for Christmas, ect.

Brainstorming could even go beyond this discussion with seasonal art contests ahead of time on top of the monthly ones.
