What are some things you think are underrated, deserve more attention, or even a detail about something you think other people should see that many havent noticed? Come post it here and tell us what you like about it and want other people to appreciate! It can be any content, whether it be art, animation, music, fanfics, or even official pony content! Dont be afraid to gush about it :3

My first pick to start it off is this beautiful animated video by Final Aspex called "Les Chorettes"
 

 

I love this little animation! If I understand correctly, it is about a group of orphans performing as a choir. It's very well-animated, and the ending just touches my heart! This video only has only amassed 78 views in 3 years! When I first came across it back in winter of 2023, it only had 65 views. That's only 13 more views in almost a year D:
With the quality of the animation and overall adorableness, it deserves more eyes and appreciation :3

Since no one is going ahead and posting more guess I will ¯\_()_/¯

I'd like to introduce yall to Kerblob, or just Ker. This artist makes 3D retro animations with generally silly or odd themes (in a good way!).

The thing that is so impressive about their videos is the effort that goes into them. To those unfamiliar with the process of creating videos like this, it can seem simple because, well, it looks simple and cute! But its not. It is pretty difficult, and lots of stuff goes into this.
For example, their cute video called "i love you"

The fish-eye stretching on that background doesnt just happen. It has to be warped either manually as a mesh, or automatically with a low FOV on the camera or with something similar to Optics Compensation in After Effects. Those last two processes would require the background, which is animated, to be rendered separately and processed. Then there is the chromatic aberration on it. That's the separating of the red and blue on the edges. Usually, this would happen in a glass lens, but this has to be done manually, most likely in After Effects, which isnt always the easiest thing depending on what you want.
Look at the hearts.

That is not a standard pattern at all, and each heart has a different set of blocks that disappear. That was attention to detail! Now, I may be overcomplicating it, as it could simply be a transition preset from somewhere, but it could also be that it was done by hand. Either way, the attention to detail is neat.

And look at pinkie. Did you notice how she first pops in with no head or tail?

Isnt that just silly? and that was intentionally done!

The text that appears and flickers subtly, then slides off screen, that doesnt just happen on its own!
And the little >< when Twilight kisses the screen is also manually done.

And the screen filtering. Like, what? I dont even know where to begin thinking how that one was done

Lastly, the perfect loop of the music. As someone with lots of experience in audio editing, looping something that well isn't something a beginner can easily do. This Kerblob knows their stuff!

Before this post gets too long with me gushing about this creator, why dont you go check them out for yourself, and maybe even subscribe to them because an upload from them in your feed might just brighten your day, I know it sure does mine!

Their videos actually do get a good amount of views but I can't see a lot of people bringing this stuff up so I figured why not share them? I won't post any specific video cos' you know, horror and all that, but it's perfect for spoopy month

I'll post some of my favorite pony content creators who have under 1k subs

Trixie Enjoyer. Their shtick is pretty simple. They post Trixie related content every Tuesday. Highly recommended for my fellow Trixie fans. I love having a silly Trixie video to look forward to every week.

Algo at All. They make some pretty catchy vocal chop pony music. The linked video is my favorite from them.

Magicked. Similar to above, vocal chop music and surprisingly, stop motion animation. In the video linked you can see they did their own stop motion for the PMV which is genuinely really cool and super impressive. Definitely deserve to have more people appreciating their music and effort. If I had to pick just one of these content creators to recommend, it’d be them.

Sound Bandit. More vocal chop type music! All these artists are really underrated imo. They create such amazing music just using their own instrumentals with vocal chops from the shows.

llamalauncher. They make cute, short animations sometimes. They don't post super often but when they do it’s always A+ and super cute. They have a lot of Izzy animations too which I strongly approve of

elameaa. Vocal chop music. Again, not super frequent uploads but when they do upload it's always good stuff.

I first found Algo 5 years ago back when he was called AlexAnder. He popped up on a video I made called "sad space kitty" and asked to remix it. I said yeah, and awhile later he did and I fell in love with his music!

I discovered them about a year ago when they released their Pegasus Device animation. It was amateur, but it had a lot of passion put into it, and was very dedicated to the story. Sinclair went on to make music videos for other creepypastas, as well as continue for Rainbow Factory, and their skill has continued to increase.

While I dont personally enjoy creepypastas and thus dont watch their videos often, I appreciate the skill and dedication that went into their animations. Feel free to check them out!

Similarly, PhilCAnimate was inspired by Sinclair's videos and made his own version of a Pegasus Devices animation. There are even similar shots!

I myself made my own rendition of what I think the actual pegasus device would look like. The original pegasus device was just a gorey meat-grinder that would spit out the coat color (why not just shave the pony? LOL) or a machine that extracted it via stabby stab (but that's just red???). Personally I think this is kinda silly and more of a shock-value thing than anything else. I mean, this is Equestria, they have magic, and rainbows are seen as an innately magical thing, so why not extract it magically? So that's what my version of the machine does. No stabbing, no blood, just magic succ.

Like I said though, I dont actually like creepypastas. For the longest time I only knew of rainbow factory from its content like the music videos or songs. A friend eventually sat me down and read it to me, but beyond that I didnt read anything else. I dont like feeling worse than I already do on a regular basis LOL.

It's for a music video for an unreleased song I made called "Dashed Rainbow", which is an AU telling of Rainbow Factory, but where the factory is raided and shut down at the end of it. Thanks for the suggestions! I checked them out briefly and will definitely be watching some more from both of them when I have the time. Also, you could consider yourself as an underrated content creator, that most recent animation on your channel looks absolutely incredible!
