How you became a fan of My Little Pony

Well I've known about My little pony for a while and I've always been a fan of anime but for some reason thought I wouldn't like it. I was also scared to be thought of as a brony for some reason but whatever I like what I like. I'm new to this and currently working my way through the first season but I love it so far.
