While most fans were upset about Sunset Shimmer not getting a proper ending to her story, there is another character who hasn’t gotten her moment in the spotlight, Fluttershy. I know I already talked about this in one of my previous posts, but I really want to prove a point. Fluttershy has been the only Rainboom without a special focused on her. 'Forgotten Friendship' focused on Sunset Shimmer, 'Rollercoaster of Friendship' focused on Applejack and Rarity, 'Spring Breakdown' focused on Sunset Shimmer, Twilight Sparkle (Sci-Twi), and Rainbow Dash, and 'Sunset’s Backstage Pass' focused on Sunset Shimmer and Pinkie Pie. Even in the 'Holidays Unwrapped' event, each Rainboom was given focus except Fluttershy. It feels unfair that Fluttershy was the only one who didn't get her own special. There's potential for a Fluttershy centric story. It could focus on her love of animals, or her talent as a songwriter (as seen in Rainbow Rocks), or her overcoming her fears, or her helping her friends overcome their fears. Like her solo song says, there's so much more to her, and we never got to see more of her. Imagine if Fluttershy did get her own special but another member of the Rainbooms didn't. You would want that member to have their own special too, wouldn't you? I’m not saying I don’t want Sunset Shimmer to get a proper ending, I do, but still I feel like giving Fluttershy her own special would also be good to see.

There is one thing that would help Fluttershy stand out from her pony counterpart, her skills as a songwriter. There’s a video that explains how it could work.

I've been revisiting a lot of G4 lately and god you are completely right, they really legit forgot about her when it came to EQG. Other than a few shorts here and there, the most proper focus she had was her introduction way back in the first movie before then being promptly dumped to the sidelines to occasionally deliver snarky one-liners, which is sadly symptomatic of the larger issue of everyone other Sunset being extremely static when they dont have the one single spotlight on them. Combined with the snappier and flashier style EQG shifted too, guess there just wasn't any room left for someone more quiet low energy her  Massive shame too. As a former teen, adolescence is not easy at all, so they really missed the opportunity to utilize her as a means discuss some big stuff kids may be going through, like anxiety, finding inner confidence while going through a pretty weird period of life, and just generally surviving high school cause god those four years can really suck.
