How did you find MLP Forums?

..."I forgot" isn't the greatest answer, is it? I was searching something, and a thread showed up, so... Google, I guess? (This is where living without search history gets you, by the way. forgetting everything you were doing the second a new website shows up)

How you became a fan of My Little Pony

It's funny to say it now, but I actually did my very best to avoid anything MLP for most of my life(up to now). Like, I hated anything related to it... and as luck would have it, one day, I just cracked and read horsefic. I wasn't actually expecting it to be good!(It was the "Mane 6 keep calling Twilight the wrong colour" one) And here I am now. Halfway into season 1, despite myself. Woot! (I've been watching 1 episode a week on "MLP Monday", and if I miss a day, I just skip that week. So even if I should probably be in Season 2 by now, I'm just taking my time and enjoying myself. Double Woot!)

Ok so here's the meat(vegetables?) of the post. Except I already spilled it all in the last section, so... Hi! I'm Skye, but, if we're talking OCs and such, I'm working on an Earth Pony named Stage Banter... (Ellipses make the paragraph 39% better btw) So, if you have any questions, like: "What's your favorite flavor of milk?", then I'll try to give an answer, like: "I had a weird expired Shamrock-flavored milk at a Kwik Trip once and it changed my life". And not every answer involves expired milk and Kwik Trip, so ask away!

Thank you! I'm still working on Stage Banter, but I think she's going to have a sort of auburn fur / dark blue mane sort of thing going on. And I imagine her cutie mark would be a mic of sorts? A lot of sorts... and a sort of kings to go with it!

...Over the few months, I've actually run into a lot of good horsefic. I mean, I've read the stuff everypony's read- Cupcakes, Rainbow Factory, Deathless Trixie... but I've also encountered some real good ones that aren't at the top of EqD, like Starlight turns RD into a car and Ipsa Unica's story. I wasn't much of a fanfic reader before, but... here I am now!

yup :P a lot of bronies are part of multiple fandoms, and the writer pones all say that the fanfic scene with bronies is very strong. In addition to just having been such a big thing for a while, I think something about the show just really encouraged creativity. It's the same with the art and music.

it’s always heartwarming when people go from avoiding MLP to liking it. Thanks for giving it a chance, I wish I could watch the show for the first time again :pinkiesmile:

BTW we have a discussion side of the forum where you can comment on each episode, you may like it! I find it helps me deepen my enjoyment of each episode. Hope to see you there if you’re interested :rainbowkiss:

I like your MLP Monday idea, sometimes I wish I would have done something similar. (I binge watched the full show in one month)

Glad to know that friendship inspires ponies to do their very best! Added both of those fics to my Watch Later, hopefully I get to them before the 50+ that were already in there... dear god.(quick question- if i'm saying "dear god", would i change god to celestia, faust, or...? i'm stuck on that one. but maybe it's just god? i clearly don't know!)

I heard a lot of people saying that they'd wanna watch it for the first time again- that's what led me to the MLP Monday thing I do. If I can stretch a good thing as long as possible without breaking it, I'm gonna relish it as much as I can.(mostly because when I decided to watch South Park around last year, I ran through seasons 1-5 in 2 weeks... and can hardly remember anything about them.)

I remember the church where I was going to school- one time, many years ago, there was a bat that knocked into a stained glass portrait and broke it... maybe it was raspberry flavored? I'd imagine that if it was a fruit bat, it would have a nose for such a fine delicacy- but who's to say it wasn't a "oh boy i sure do love getting impaled by glass" bat?

the moral of the story is that bats beat glass in rock-paper-scissors, or at least, in a future expansion of it.

if sometimes say "by sol!" or "by celestia!"

in the fic I'm writing, they say "by Majesty" (but it's G1)

the G3 ponies are too innocent to say anything like that :P they just say things like "perfecto!"

G5 say "thank hoofness" (I love that one - I sometimes use that)
