What’s the order of G5????

In G4, the order of things was pretty easy to understand. You had season 1, then 2, then 3, and so on. Based on the year it was released and context, we can infer that the G4 movie takes place between season 7 episode 26 and season 8 episode 1. Same goes for Equestria Girls. However, they didn’t really affect the main storyline of FiM, so it wasn’t really crucial to understand what went on in EQG and the movie.

In G5, I’m supposed to start with the ANG movie. Once I finish that……..what am I supposed to watch??????? I tried starting with MYM, but I was so confused as to who the dragon guy was, and where on earth they were flying. So, I move to TYT. I still have no idea who the dragon guy is. A quick Google search told me that the dragon guy was introduced in a music video, which makes no sense and I don’t even know where to find it.

Can someone give me a chronological order of G5? What am I supposed to watch after ANG? Please don’t leave out anything - even if it’s a music video that doesn’t affect the storyline. I want to watch every—single—thing in order. Also, if it’s possible, please give me the YouTube link for the video/playlist. Thanks

The "order" of G5 is simple after you've watched the movie because both shows follow the exact same plotline. Just watch the shows from start to finish if you want to see everything in chronological order. There is no music video that introduces Sparky, "the dragon guy". He's added to the series in Make Your Mark Chapter 1.

But what exactly is "start to finish"??? I watch MYM chapter 1 first, and if yes, then what?

Then the rest of Make Your Mark. Whether you watch Tell Your Tale after or while you watch MYM doesn't matter. I would, however, finish watching MYM before watching Episode 54 of TYT since that's a recap episode of MYM Chapter 4's finale. Episode 67 is a recap of MYM Chapter 6's major two-parter and everything in TYT onward takes place after MYM Chapter 6's special. That's really all you need to be aware of.
