Exploring imaginary scenarios here. - What part of Equestria would you choose to live in?

Let us explore something fun and imaginary. What part of Equestria would you choose to live in? this is an entirely subjective point of view, as there is no better or worse answer here, it depends on your character traits and what you value most from the show My Little Pony Friendship is Magic. So there is no need for debate which is superior.

For me personally, if it wasn't in Ponyville itself, I'd say rural outskirts of Ponyville would probably be better fit as I would like the quiet life, and I am not talking about Everfree Forest, which is dangerous. I enjoy thrill and adventure, but becoming a garden statue from an encounter with a Cockatrice we can all agree would suck. Not saying Fluttershy's choices are bad, she knows how to handle threats there, but if anyone here in an imaginary scenario were born in Equestria that does not necessarily mean you will know how to deal with problems in Everfree Forest or anywhere else unfamiliar to you, how you adapt to your environment is important.

As unusual as it may sound, with me wishing to be a pegasus and all, Cloudsdale would not be my habitat of choice. Flying would be fun, but depending on which part of Cloudsdale you go it can be a competitive environment, it's helpful for Wonderbolts, but not for someone like me.

Learning from Applejack at Sweet Apple Acres on the other hoof, would be a great experience, because learning to cultivate edible plants, in her case, apples, would be a valuable asset. Some may find bucking for apples enjoyable or emotionally draining, it all depends on your state of health, outlook and predisposition. But like in the real world, survival in Equestria starts with agriculture. To appreciate the beauty of nature is to connect with it.

I think, for me, I'd settle in Appleloosa.  I like small towns, having grown up in one, and Appleloosa has that small-town charm while still being close enough to the bigger cities and towns to not be totally isolated.  I could have enough land that I could have a decent sized home, with a large area left wild for the native animals to use as they please.  And, after being cramped in a small place in a medium-sized city, it would be a treat to have my neighbors not be so close in distance.

From what we've seen of the show, probably Ponyville. Bit of everything while not being too big, and nice central location for taking the train around. Otherwise, going to pick the nearest closest canon counterpart to my area, Tall Tale. Been on the map since the first version released back in 2012, and was never visited. Plus I'll always need my mountains, sea and trees.

I would choose Ponyville. Even though Cellina grew up in Manhattan, I just prefer the small-town feel. It's probably because that's where Twilight Sparkle and the rest of the six met. I would make friends in Ponyville just like Twilight and the others, plant some flowers, enjoy the sunshine, run around in the fall, participate in the Running of the Leaves race, and take part in the Winter Wrap Up to send off winter... I dream about it—I wish so much that I could be in Equestria!:worry:

Some beautiful responses, all valid. I don't know how big Equestria as a kingdom actually is by total land area, we do not see the measurements in miles or kilometers. But I would hazard a guess that it would probably be as large as at least the European continent, 4 million square miles. Maybe my estimate is wrong, but to confirm it we would need to ask Hasbro themselves. It's definitely larger than the largest city by land area in real life. Though Equestria may not be as densely populated as real life continents.

If only there was a sandbox RPG game of MLP FIM, where we could build our own homes, learn how to live among the Ponies and other inhabitants there peacefully, while fending off any threats like hostile Changelings, Dragons or Timberwolves or the main villain characters in boss fights. Virtual Reality is the closest we'd ever be to actually being in Equestria unfortunately.
