"Draw, I'm still not sure about this..." A blue pegasus said while looking at his right forehoof. His name is Vivace Glide, and his shyness can only be rivaled by the Element of Kindness herself. He was helping his friend make the final preparations for a party at his own house. Being a social gathering, Vivace was having second thoughts about it before preparations had even begun.

 

"This is what I'm talking about, Vivace. Even in your comfort zone, you get nervous. I've seen you at parties, and, mainly when you DJ, you are a PARTY ANIMAL" Vivace's friend responded, throwing his forehooves into the air for emphasis. The green unicorn named Draw Toonz enjoyed a good party as much as he loved to draw.

 

Draw continued, "Remember how long it took you to get your cutie mark?"

 

"Uhhh..." Vivace mumbled and glanced up slightly at his friend.

 

"It's because all you usually did was sit in your room just listening to music. It wasn't until we dragged you out to be the school DJ that you got it."

 

"I guess so..."

 

"Yeah, so I'm trying the same method again. Your 17 and still single, bro. You gotta bite this 'shy' thing in the flank. So I arranged a small party of single mares and stallions... I don't mean your into stallions, I know you're not, but it would be awkward to be the only guy at a party, am I right?" Draw said, nudging Vivace. At this, the blue pegasus bowed his head lower, trying to hide his blush.

 

"Don't worry," Draw said, "I'll be around. I already sent out the invitations and everything, including your DJ table, is set up. The guests should be arriving soon. Try to come out of that shell of yours, okay?" Draw glanced at Vivace, who was still staring at his hooves. "...and by shell, I mean your bangs. Use those wavey locks to headbang, dude!" With that, Draw went into the kitchen, in order to let Vivace try to do his own thing.

Thunder was extra fashionably early to the party as he was to everything when he knocked on the door.

Before Vivace could even put on any music to ease his nerves, he heard a sudden knock on the door. The sudden noise caused him to yelp, "YAGH! Um... Coming!" Vivace fluttered straight up from behind the DJ table, then glided over to the door and opened it.

"Hey I heard there was a party and obviously Thunder Chaser is the stallion to be there," he said.

"Oh, yeah..." Vivace backed up a small step. "I was about to put on some music. There's snacks over there on the table." He motioned to a table covered with assorted chips, some punch, apple cider, cupcakes and apple slices. "I'll be, uh, behind the DJ table, if you need anything."

With that, Vivace trotted back behind the table, where he felt most comfortable.

Thunder walked over to the snack table and put some Applejack Daniels on it before sitting down. I think I'll just wait for the Mares.

Rose went to the door, oh why are you here Rose, you know your bad at social things she took a deep breath. She then turned away from the door, she trotted to the end of the street. She sighed and looked up, no I should do this. She went back to the house and knocked on the door and waited.

Vivace sighed as he was only able to plug in a few cables before somepony was at the door again. He flew over to the door and opened it to a pink earth mare. "Oh hello... you're here for the party, right?" he said, looking down a bit. "There are snacks over by Thunder Chaser, the pegasus over there." he made a slight gesture over to Thunder. "I'm not sure, but I think he brought... uh... alcohol..." He rubbed his left forehoof with his right. "I don't even know how he got it..."

Rose kicked her hoof about awkwardly. “Well, I got told about it” she said softly. She stepped in and looked at the snacks at the table. She trotted over to them, her purple mane was done up nice. Her sisters wanted her to become more social. So her see was at a party, being awkward.

Vivace watched her go by, then closed the door and glided into the kitchen. Draw was sitting at the table, sketching a comic.

"Uh, Draw? Do you mind answering the door for a bit. I still need to mess with the DJ table a bit..." He gave Draw hopeful eyes, because answering the door was awkward for him and he really did need to concentrate on the DJ table a bit.

 

Draw understood, but was a little bit aggravated that he couldn't answer it himself. "All right, fine. But after this, I'm making myself scarce." Draw said with a somewhat frustrated, buy not angry tone.

 

Draw got up and walked into the room, followed by Vivace.

"Well, at least you got two ponies in, Viv." Draw thought to himself.

''Splinter's Here, Folks!'' Said Splinter as banging on the door.

"Geez, somepony's excited..." Draw said to himself as he trotted to the door. He opened and greeted Splinter. "Hey Splinter, welcome to the party! I'm Draw, I put the invitation into your mailbox. I guess you could call me the co-host of this party. This is really my friend Vivace's party, though. He's working on the music right now. Why don't you come in? Snacks are over there by the two other guests."

 

Draw tends to be rather talkative.

''Uh.. Okay.'' Said Splinter as walking in. ''This place really needs some Hoodie Ninjas...'' Said Splinter as rolling his eyes. ''Anybody have a black hoodie?'' Splinter Blurted out as cocking an eyebrow.

"Wha-...I don't even." Draw mumbled as he closed the door. He hoped Vivace would get the music working soon...

''Sheesh... Excuse me while I run to the Clothing Shop!'' Said Splinter as opening the door and running out. When he came back he was in a black hoodie and had a plastic sword on his back. ''I'm a Ninja! I'm a Hoodie Ninja!'' Said Splinter as waving his hooves around.

Draw: "... Music please, Viv!"

"Almost there..." replied Vivace, setting up the last few tracks. He figured Draw wouldn't let him simply sit behind the table, so he was preparing some songs on his laptop that he could play automatically later.

''Can you Play this song?'' Said Splinter as throwing a CD at Vivace like a Ninja would throw a shuriken at someone.

Vivace looked up as the disk collided with his forehead. "Ow... Um okay, I will in a minute." He said as he picked up the disk that clattered onto the table. Vivace proceeded to insert it into his laptop.

Splinter walked over to the snack bar with his hoodie on. He just stood there waiting. ''Any Second now...'' Said Splinter as looking at the Snack bar.

Thunder woke up from having dosed off and saw Rose and nearly fell out of his chair before he trotted up to her. "Why hello there," he said politely.

''HOODIE NINJA!'' Screamed Splinter randomly as jumping on a table and standing on his head. Since his hood we over his head he looked like a Ninja.

Rose was looking over at the where Vivace stood. She was interested in what was going on, she was a natural born singer. Though she was always to shy to sing in front of anyone she hadn’t met. She jumped slightly as the colt next to her spoke to her. “um…h…hello” she said.

Rose bushed and looked down at her fore hooves. She looked away again and mumbled “I’m fine.” She looked around the room, “and your self” she squeaked trying to avoid being heard.
