BookWorm 47 July 9, 2012 Share July 9, 2012 This is my OC that I based on myself. It's basically an exaggerated version of my personality; scatter-brained, and bookish but also a loyal friend, and a jester at heart. The hat, based on the one I wear any time I go out, is covered in various pins. I've also been attempting a Tony Stark beard, but with limited success. Lastly, the flank is purposefully blank. I don't know what my special talent/ true calling in life is just yet. I hope you like my character! His name is Book Worm, by the way. 1 Half of what I say is meaningless, but I say it so that the other half may reach you.
FortyShadows 217 July 9, 2012 Share July 9, 2012 Ooh, that's some personality you got there in your OC. Mine is an exaggerated version of me too! Time for de critique on proportions: Body too long: this one happens really often actually...The body should be a fat oval. Legs too short: I'm not so clear on this one because I do it too... Tail misaligned with body. This one's a toughie to explain... Still a blank flank? You'll get your cutie mark soon!

The only thing I'd like elaboration on is the tail being misaligned. I'm not sure what you mean by that. Would you mind explaining that a bit more, even though it's "a toughie"? Thank you kindly. This has to do with that fact that you are drawing in a 3d viewpoint, not a 2d side view, front view, etc. Right now the tail looks as though it is going to the side.

Thank you kindly for your input. I'll be drawing more ponies in the future, so feel free to drop by any time Half of what I say is meaningless, but I say it so that the other half may reach you.
