Warmobolt 1 July 17, 2012 Share July 17, 2012 Hi there, I thought it was about time to join a forum as reddit diddn't fill the gap I was looking for Now then, after becoming a brony, I discovered the music and the MLPMusicArchive, now, after months of listening, it finally came to me "If these guys can make music on their computer in their bedroom, why can't I do it?" So, my mission now begins, now for a start I have very, VERY basic piano/music skills, but after playing around with FLStudio, I thought I would need to get an adapter to get my keyboard into my pc, as I need a way to input the notes Now for the future. I am planning to attend university at the end of september and was planning to get a Macbook, so I was planning to hold on my music skills until I can play around with garageband etc. Can anybody help me out with this? I want to do somthing useful in my spare time and I think making music will be perfect for me. I already have ideas floating around, I just don't have the knowledge to get them onto the screen and out of the speakers!
GrooveBroove 680 July 18, 2012 Share July 18, 2012 That definetly sounds like a good plan! Sadly while I can't help, since i'm honestly very unmusically inclined. I'll see what advice and info I can get from my friends who do something similar. Also hopefully some more community member can join in and help, since I know quite a few do indeed make their own songs. I don't think they'd have a problem if you PM'd them after seeing a thread they made with their latest work.

Thyflesh 35 July 18, 2012 Share July 18, 2012 Hi there, I thought it was about time to join a forum as reddit diddn't fill the gap I was looking for Hey, this is one of the main reason's i joined! For your question, i think you should just look at TON's of the YouTube video's on FL Studio. I know there are a lot of good YouTube video's on how to use it and make good music and how to layer different rythum's on top each other.

Taco Horse 116 July 18, 2012 Share July 18, 2012 I'm not sure if FL Studio accepts VSTs or not as it's been years since I used it. If it does you can find various Virtual Instruments online to help, I use Magix Music Maker manly because it a very simple audio editor. You might want to look into a MIDI converter if you want to use a physical keyboard. http://www.youtube.c...eBrony/featuredA Machine For Pigs - #6 l Abduction - #6 l Outlast - #8 l Clive Barker's Jericho - #11 https://soundcloud.com/nick_rodriguez
