Mersander 55 July 30, 2012 Share July 30, 2012 Ok, so earlier this morning, I was expirimenting with the router. I wanted to change it to WEP so its compatable for my DS. but once I did, the internet for the entire house went completely haywire and now nobody in the house can get online. I litterally fucked the internet.... Here's the message it gives me when I try to get on: "The settings saved for this computer do not match the requirements of the network" I've tried EVERYTHING. Restaring the modem, changing the security setting, everything to the best of my ability. so now as I write this from starbucks, my mom at home still says that the computer says the same message. I've called netgear and they want me to pay 165 dollars. So am I the only person who has gone through this problem before? If not, somebody please help. Edit: I have a netgear WNDR3300 for my router and a motorola SB4220 for my modem. Just to avoid confusion
Kaneki 1,073 July 30, 2012 Share July 30, 2012 Which ISP? Your ISP may provide wi-fi for free or cheap. (I know mine, Bright House Networks, offers it for like $10 a month).

Alleviate 342 July 30, 2012 Share July 30, 2012 I nearly had this problem, Basically, DS's don't like many forms of Wi-Fi connectiony setting-y things. Most computers will accept most Wi-Fi settings, what appears to have happened is that the connection settings have changed to a format that everything else doesn't like (I'm guessing PC's?) To change it you've just got to go onto the settings thing so you edit them, (I'm guessing you've already done that once?) Change them back to what they were before, or get someone who knows what the settings were to change them. If all else fails, RESET! SET TO DEFAULT!......(Oh please no..) FACTORY RESET! Hope any of this helps. -Joe-
