This is a basic slice of life RP, but with little edges out of the "slice of life" range. Mainly, though, it'll be normal. First...

Popcorn Kernel woke up curled against a creamy yellow pillow. It's so hard adjusting to the wonders of this Canterlot house after living in the Everfee Forest... she thought as she got off her bed. It was of no use to try and fix her bed. Do I work at the theater today? She looked around for her calender. When she found it, she looked. Today is... Okay, work day.. She ran her mane under a stream in her backyard, ran inside, dried it, and then cautiously walked outside. She then ran to the theater. "I'm here, I can make it through the work day." she said as she slipped into her popcorn-making booth. A day movie was going to be shown soon.

Solarius woke from the birds outside, his Monocle crushed against his eye from his late nap after preparing a speech to run for Mayor.I need a vacation, he thought, as he closed the window and straightened his eyepiece. e looked at the time. "Oh shoot, i'm late!" He ran full speed out the door! He had a movie to catch!

Popcorn Kernel ducked under the popcorn-making part to find the schedule. So the movie should be starting in ten minutes... in five, ponies will probably start coming in... that's what making popcorn in advance is for. she though as she stood back up.

Solarius dashed farther, trying to remember his schedule. "Ok, The movie begins in... 7 minutes!! Oh no! Ok... stay focused... I have to go to Octavia's Concert at 11:00, the the speech is at Mignight at the Canterlot Castle... " The speech is interrupted when the movie theatre door is slammed open onto his horn. "So sorry... excuse me..." He continues dashing, getting ready to get his tickets.

Popcorn Kernel saw a purple-type pony rush in. The pony stepped into the short line of ponies who were getting tickets from Paste Paper, the ticket pony. As Kernel pushed a popcorn bag out of the way, she saw the ticket line grow a bit longer. She turned back towards the window.

(I have forgotten to say it, but at some instances I'll be some background characters, just a few generic important ones. Like at some points I'll be Paste Paper, for example. But not yet.)

The run was utterly EXHAUSTING. He saw he had time before the movie started, due to the extensive line that had formed after he got his ticket (what luck!). With time left, Solarius limped over to the food service line... He was in need of a Dr. Philly. As he approached the line, he also noticed a purple pony with a popcorn cutie mark working quite hard behind the counter, looking at the approaching line in worry. Altough he guessed he would miss the movie in assistance, he decided to just rush over and try to help her (He had read about the popcorn service in his books)

Popcorn Kernel was just about to crush a popcorn bag when that purple pony offered to help. She agreed in hope.

Paste Paper handed a ticket to another pony in the line as she saw a purple pony rush to help Popcorn. Sighing, Paste grabbed a ticket for the nest pony in line. Will poor Kernel ever fit in? she thought.

Equinox woke up somewhat late in the morning, but still exhausted when she got up. One of the Castle's maids walked in her room,

 

"Oh, I didn't mean to disturb you," the mare said. Equinox yawned,

 

"It's alright..."

 

"Um, Miss, weren't you going to see that movie today? It's starting in a few minutes." The pink Alicorn gasped and dashed straight to the bathroom to speed-wash her mane and tail. She didn't have time to dry her mane, knowing that running or flying to the theatre would air-dry it. Galloping out of the Canterlot Castle, Equinox stretched her wings and took off to the sky, going fast enough that she was nearly a blur. The mare landed with a thud in front of the theatre.

 

"Did the movie already start? Am I late at all?"

He was definetly going to miss the movie, he thought, but right now, helping everypony would help with the chaos that could have come. Although the purple pony smiled when i offered to help, the ticket pony kept looking at her in grief. That made me quite angry... but i shook it off, and continued helping with the power of magic.

Paste Paper was handing out another ticket as the movie started. A pink alicorn walked in. Paper slipped a sorrowful glance to young Popcorn again. She's not fit for the city, she knows the belongs in the country. Poor thing, she doesn't have the money to move to Ponyville...she thought.

 

Popcorn Kernel watched as a pink alicorn walked into the theater.

After a while of serving up popcorn and such, a pink alicorn had stepped it, the first one Solarius had ever seen!(besides the princess herself) He dropped the bag, spilling its contents on the floor, the purple popcorn pony not pleased. He blushes and picks it up and continues serving, his eyes still on both the popcorn and the alicorn.

(I put ()s around your words so that it would be actual off-topic talking. And I lack anything to say. Character Minimum-walrus smalrus, poniez are better than walruses, that's why ponies exist, blalkbblah.)

 

 

Should we make it private...? just a thought there.

 

Solarius continued with the popcorn serving, sweeping up the remains of the popcorn still on the ground under the service table. Still feeling sorry, he exchanged glances with the popcorn pony as the alicorn continued down the line.

Equinox noticed the dark purple Stallion glancing at her. She felt a little scared, and her ears went down as she tried not to look at him, but the fact that he was staring at her made her feel self-concious.

 

"Did I do something...?" she thought. Suddenly, she realized how frizzy her mane was after flying around with a wet mane. "Oh, that's probably why." she fumbled with her mane trying to make it look neater.

Although the alicorn had quite a unusual appearance, he didn't even wince as she approached, her head in a magestical bow. he didn't exactly understand why she wasn't even trying to look at him, but there she stood. "What... what would you like, uh... princess?"

"Princess? I'm not actually a princess..." Equinox blushed shyly, "I'm just here to see the... uh... movie. I'll help you two pick up the popcorn." Her horn glowed an orange color and started cleaning up the popcorn with her magic.

Solarius blushed at the fact he had called her princess and was very thankful she helped, even though the people in line weren't as pleased at the fact that they had to wait for the popcorn to be swept up (the janitor was squealing in delight the moment they were gone).

Chacter filler: When life gives you lemons, don't make lemonade! Get mad! I don't want your damn lemons! What am I supposed to do with these!?

"My name's Solari... i mean... I'm the Ambassador of Ponyville."I guess i can tell her my name... no point of introducing myself by title... ESPECIALLY to her... "My name is Solarius... I live at the palace. As i said, i work as the Ambassador... traveling and stuff?" What am i saying?

"I-I'm Popcorn Kernel..." Popcorn said, looking at the ground. The colors of the theater (purple, red, gold, generic theater colors) reminded her of her parent's death, which in turn made her get shy.

Equinox looked back to see ponies entering the movie that she was going to see, "Ohmygosh, the movie's almost starting!" and she dashed straight into the theatre, and came just in time to see the opening credits.

Upset of the first frown by Popcorn Kernel, he continues serving the popcorn as she looks at the theatre sadly. "What's your business at the theatre today, Equinox?"

After she runs in dismay out, he notices he should be leaving, too. He would have, but he couldn't help the sad look on Popcorn's face. "Whats wrong, Popcorn Kernel?" His conforting wasn't the best He's done, but he tries to go at it.

Popcorn Kernel looked up. "Sometimes, the colors of the theater..." she started "remind me of my parent's death..." she squeaked. She didn't want the memories of her childhood to come back, but they still did.

Although his hearing was off a bit, he could still hear her... Stupid, Stupid!!! WHY did i even try?! Oh well... guess i can confort her...

"I... I'm so sorry... I didn't mean to..." His feelings were currently real, due to the fact he also felt the pain of loss...

"It's okay, it's not your fault, or my fault, or anypony's fault that my parents..." Popcorn Kernel didn't continue to say her parents had drowned. It was too depressing to even think about it. To clear it from her head, she thought about what had happened that day. Then she remembered:this was the day that at the middle of each movie, there was a ten-minute break for the workers to leave their stations. She smiled at that.

Although the problem obviously wasn't totally resolved, the smile on her face made him smile, too. Of course, he tried not to look too happy... He then noticed that the movie was half over... maybe... a few more minutes. "So... you live around here?"
