How to upload an avatar/signature to MLP Forums. (For Noobs)

Hello everyone! I have seen quite a few threads asking for assistance in uploading an avatar/signature. So I decided to make a bit of a tutorial for them. I know I sound a bit awkward, but it is what it is. It took more than 7 hours to upload... I guess it's because of HD. Oh yeah sorry for my annoying voice. Hope this helps any new members with this issue.

Nice, a helpful little thing. It's too bad noobs will still ask these questions, because they never, ever bother to search any of the forums before they make their topics asking how to do something.

 

It's also interesting to note how you can now change your avatar from your profile itself.

Ha ha yeah. I was learning that tab earlier and I never took it down. Thank you by the way. I made it a video so that I could just post it on their threads if they made it.

i still have a problem, i saved my photoshopped siggy for web, copied the URL, clicked on "image", and pasted the image url in there. i could not see anything appearing in the edit signature box, and i cannot erase it when i try to make a new signature. Now my signature is just the url rather than the image... oh and also thanks to that when i try to add the real signature, it says only one image is allowed. What do i do?

I guess you may have missed me saying that you need the direct link. You have to upload it to a photo hosting site. I used photobucket for an example, but you can use other sites such as facebook and deviant art.

I did miss it, i did that before i saw your video. what i don't know how to do is erase the URL which i can't see in the signature editing box

Try and erase everything by clicking on the very bottom of the signature editor and holding the backspace key until you get to the beginning of the box
