Who would in a race?

In the spirit of Fall Weather Friends, assuming it was a fair race with everyone playing clean, who would win?

my thoughts:

 

Rarity wouldn't be it because she'd either get dirty or sweaty, but, if there was amazing incentive for her to run (jewels, for example) she'd probably do decent.

 

Fluttershy is probably better than the average pegasus at running because she seems to run rather than fly. However, does seem to have hidden talents (sewing, Staring) so she might hold some secret to running.

 

Pinkie Pie is insanely fast. In Griffon the Brush off and Party of and One Rainbow Dash couldn't even outfly Pinkie's hopping. Also, Pinkie didn't seem the least bit phased while Rainbow was tired.

 

Twilight got 5th place in the Running of the Leaves but I doubt she could outrun Applejack or Rainbow. Maybe Twilight could win endurance races? But I still think she got lucky.

 

Applejack and Rainbow. Applejack has stronger hind legs than Rainbow. Rainbow's speed seems mainly in her wings (which would be tied down). But, Rainbow, given incentive (like bees chasing her), is faster but probably only for a short time. Also, Applejack's job of harvesting apples and working on the farm takes lots of endurance while Rainbow's job of moving clouds is probably in spurts (not to mention it uses her wings, not legs)

 

so, I'd say Applejack. with Pinkie Pie being the wildcard for she would only lose if she didn't want to win.

Pinkie Pie, no doubt. That bouncing of hers is remarkably speedy. Rainbow Dash is pretty even with Applejack if her wings are tied down, and Pinkie Pie can keep up with Rainbow's FLYING, which is much faster than how fast Rainbow and Applejack can run. So if Pinkie Pie's running speed is equivalent to Rainbow Dash's flying speed, I think Pinkie would be about a bajilliamillitillion times faster than everypony else.

it's between Rainbow, Applejack and Pinkie. Though, Pinkie's crazy speed antics we saw as she was able to keep up with Rainbow even when she was flying in 'Party for One', might count as 'not playing clean', as we don't know if that's her actual physical strength, or her crazy powers. But who knows, maybe it isn't.

 

AJ and Dash are very evenly matched. I still say it would be one of them.
