Roleplay World - The Importance of Reporting

For quite some time, moderation in Roleplay World has relied mainly on myself looking through each and every single thread on my own to find any violations of the rules. It eventually grew to include the other RP World mod, Aureitas. Then the addition of several other mods. Unlike the other sections, constant watching and moderation is needed. And not entirely viable at all times.

 

Whilst you can say, "JUST GET MORE MODS!" there are times were being totally proactive like that will cause us to miss things. And we will miss things, because moderators can't just spend their entire time eyeballing such a massive section which has much quicker amounts of posting than most of the non-Cloudsdale Colosseum sections. People post fast, and people post a lot, in other words. We're only human.

 

So I would like to simply post a reminder to the regular posters of RP World, or even those who might happen to venture in it one day, to help do your part and keep our forums clean by reporting. Whilst you may not necessarily agree with the moderative actions in RP World or feel like it is "tattling" on another member, it is for the better of the forums and their quality for as much as possible to be reported and cleaned up. It also makes our jobs a lot easier. The more things we catch being done wrong, the more people are likely to be corrected, the more people learn what is right and wrong reducing our workload and overall making Roleplay World a cleaner and better place for everyone involved.

yeah sure, but I'll probably be only reporting people who dont contribute to the RP properly i.e. unexspeted visitors and when people just make a OOC post in the RP
