visual art F-I-V-E Concept (Work in Progress)

I'll finish this one day...

 

Or maybe not; I tend to doubt it...

 

It started out as a test of my new art supplies, and quickly snowballed into the concept art for a character in a mercenary comic series I'm planning. I tried my hand at camouflage with heavy markers for the first time on the pants. I don't know how visible it is (I have reason to believe my scanner hates me), but hopefully all the colors made it into the scan. When I find the motivation, I'll finish and add more color.

That looks so so epic, I've always loved gas masks, they just look awesome! Also the dog tags, military history's brilliant in mercenary themed anythings! I'm a bit mythed why he hasn't got any nipples but, hey, when in Rome.

Over all it looks pretty good and I'm looking forwards to seeing more!

Thanks! I'll try to fill in the spaces as I go, and hopefully, I won't have forgotten anything by the time that I'm done. I loved the concept of ex-military mercenaries, and the way this guy's design just popped into my head gives me hope for the rest of the series and characters. His name is symbolic of the way the organization he belongs to treats him; all its operatives are expendable. No names, everyone's a number.
