First attempt - OC sketch

That was my very first attempt of drawing ponies. I tried to draw my OC, Shooting Star. You can check him out on the link in my signature.

Oh, and I forgot about his wings... But as you can see, it looks nothing like my OC. In fact, I can sit here the whole day pointing out the mistakes and errors. I just felt like sharing with everyone so I can say that I at least tried.

 

But well... This was just a sketch. I drew him in roughly fifteen minutes, using a paper and a pencil. I was going to colour him with MS Paint, but it takes just too much effort for such an horrible drawing like this one.

 

Anyway... I want to improve my skills. I'll get myself some "professional" tools and equipments in the future, and I'll accept your opinions and suggestions~

He looks so sad! What i did when i first start drawing ponies was to look at ponies from the show trace around there body to get the feel of how they should look (if you want them to look like the ponies from the show >.> <.<). Also don't be scared to make the mane bold, if you don't it looks a bit flat. But for your first drawing it's good and hand draw! (I suck at drawing by hand lol! x3)
