Bunches 81 September 15, 2012 Share September 15, 2012 6 year olds tend to change their tastes really rapidly, i wouldnt get upset over it. glad you all worked it out though. the show and the toys are pretty different, but pretty awesome. My cousin called MLP gay. After smashing his head in for two hours, he begged me to stop if he watched an episode. He actually liked it, and became a brony. The my aunt came in and was upset that he had a black eye and a bloody nose. I told her that he fell down some stairs. TROLLOLOLOL. i hope this was a joke. Actually, I'm more intrigued by the 23 per cent who are apparently doing quite well for themselves." -Jerry Garcia Say hi to me on Gaia, username: SkrinkleAndSkrod
SpikeyMikey 10 September 15, 2012 Share September 15, 2012 Its perfectly fair enough, It's not everyone's cup of tea, but that doesnt mean you should give up trying. Why not tell her about liking something that other people don't, and that If you think its good then you shouldn't let anyone stop you It's not like she's going to lose any friends. I think its true that she can think she's too old to like it, but not old enough to realise that there's nothing wrong with that. So it is a difficult situation. Just read the latest post... Great, just think of it as me posting at a time before you posted that. Im an idiot becuase I need 100 characters.
~SadisticFluttershy~ 779 September 15, 2012 Share September 15, 2012 Aww that's a shame ): Sorry to hear that friend! But as people get older their interests change and such.... but the love she had in MLP will never fade.. She will eventually get our age and start watching it again if she decides too, but no one is ever too old for a show like this, cause it's just to awesome Thanks MiniKirby! It's soooooo awesome! SarevolThePony 13 September 15, 2012 Share September 15, 2012 That's not suprising because even though bronies are all ready becoming mainstream and MLP being a loveable show to all ages and genders or whatever, People will still categorise MLP as a babies' show like Sesame Street, Barbies, Dora the Explorer, ect. And the parents always are behind it, So you're gonna except even a girl to bash on stuff like ponies even if they are still little so they feel Adult, Kids always change there likings. Squeaker 89 September 15, 2012 Share September 15, 2012 I asked my 10 year old cousin shortly after I became a brony if she liked MLP, and she responded, "Ew, no, that's for babies." I laughed for about a minute, then said, "No, it really isn't. It's for anyone who likes it." She watched it with me and a few months later came and told me that she's a brony now to. XD The new Barbie that's out isn't so bad though, I'm really glad so much not-crap kids' programming has come out in the last couple years.

Creamy Arty 6,252 September 29, 2012 Share September 29, 2012 Have you tried explaining to her that acquiring a new hobby doesn't necessitate abandoning your old ones, or tried asking her how she can be too old when you aren't? Kyoshi made this ^^ Come join us on Equestria.tv on Fridays at 6 PM Eastern for our weekly movie nights!
