Doug Walker and Positive Brony Experiences

I've noticed alot of people on this site lately have been complaining about how bad some bronies are online. It's a sad but true fact of life that people on the Internet aren't always the nicest bunch. But I'd like to think that a majority of bronies are decent people. Before I explain the purpose of this topic, I should explain why I'm making it.

Doug Walker, best known as the Nostalgia Critic, recently had an issue in Canada where he had basically lost his passport. And though not directly, bronies actually saved him from being stranded there. Rather than just type the whole story, here's the video.

It's kind of interesting (and ironic) that this would convince a Canadian guard to let him out of the country. But it did.

Now to the purpose of the topic. Have any of you had any truly positive brony experiences? Like the kind of experiences that actually saved you from something that would've been bad otherwise, or just generally nice experiences?

I don't have many personal experiences to share, but seeing all the charities that Bronies have created and contributed to and the hundreds of thousends of dollars they have raised over time is really a incredible feat for a television fanbase.

I do not think people realize that whenever a fanbase grows as big as Friendship is Magic is now, you are more likely to pull the assholes and scumbags of the world into the fold. That, and this fanbase began as an ironic joke, to an extend. MLP and Bronies will not be fully appreciated until the show gets canceled and Gen 5 starts, I think.

erm that wasn't rely a story of how bronies helped him out it was more the story and what bronies are were what saved his ass, so i dont think he is or will be a brony (unlike CR from TGWTG.com who is) he just know about you guys and thought it was a good story to say... so yeah myah.

also i always enjoy Doug as Doug, i don't like the Nostagia critic much but i love Chester A Bum, but that's more about sucky delivery and funny for two second jokes which has now been adopted by the even more unfunny AngryJoe and i'm rambling...

also no good brony story all the Bronies i've met in RL iv'e kinda wanted to punch because they would shut up or considered my opinion on the show as blasphemy.... yes that was what one of them did say before i got sick of the guy and got off the bus a few stops early.

Well, the thing is, I didn't really say he was a brony (I mean, he's seen FiM, and he pretty much thinks it's alright, but he's not a brony). But then again, you don't necessarily have to be a brony to have a positive brony experience. I was just showing the video, because it was what inspired me to make this thread.

Anyway, you can talk about bad experiences with bronies in a bunch of topics here. I just wanted to make one for good experiences with bronies for a change.

I love the Nostalgia Critic . These last few days, I've been over indulging in his videos, usually to see what suck-ass movie he'll review, but mostly his jokes too. This particular thing made by him keeps getting in mah head at the most random moments :P
