The man slumped crushed and broken in the left claw of the elder dragon. His name was Glen and he had just angered the elder dragon, again. Not that had mad much difference, it only meant he was going to die a little sooner. A roar of angry curses came form the elder dragons mouth, enraged by the energy blast that he had dodge so easily. It had not been an energy attack but Glens spark given up in the hopes that one of the allies he had gathered would be able to put it to use. He had promised Princess Celestia that he would give his life to protect Equestria if needed, and he had now done just that. As his body was tossed aside the final sparks of life draining from his body he only had one regret.

Some say your life flashes before your eyes when you are about to die, but Glen thought it would be faster to just reflect on what had started his adventure in Equestria.
