Language Arts MLP Fan Fiction

(I figured that since this isn't a real Fan Fiction, even if it was close to being done I would put it here because it is an idea.)

For my language arts class we have to write a fiction story over the course of this month. We had to design our own character for it and since pretty much everypony in my school know I am a Brony and are fine with it because of my ability to be quite hilarious and have a good sense of humor I decided to use my OC character for it. I finished my mini description about the character and so that I didn't have to restart I asked him to see if a fan fiction is okay. He said that it was okay but I needed to make some characters and maybe some locations my self. I told him about MLP and he said it sounded pretty awesome because he liked the Powerpuff Girls (Who didn't) and he explained to me that he has seen the Friendship is Magic logo plenty of times and was curious about what it meant. I just wanted to share with you guys and when it is finished if you really want to I could upload it, even though it will not be the greatest my choice of tone and vocabulary will still be quite superb. *Brohoof

Soooooo what's the premise? Who's your OC? What in your story is going to be original, and what is going to be adapted content from the show? I'm intrigued that your teacher is allowing this, and wish you the best of luck, but I also agree with your teacher that you have to ensure that you have enough original content in your story to ensure that it truly is an original creation. Too much adapted content could land you a bad grade; this is for a class after all, not just some fan fiction that you're uploading to the Internet simply out of love for a show.
