So, an introduction post, eh? I guess I'll introduce myself, then.

 

I'm Perpetual Lurker, so named because I tend to simply lurk places, but I'm getting more social. Otherwise I wouldn't have signed up here in the first place! I'm actually quite excited to have found an active fan forum. Until now, most of my community participation has been on TV Tropes, which is mostly just talking with the twenty or so regulars on the forums there.

 

As far as interests within the community go, I'm a computer programmer by trade, though my lack of art skills more or less disqualifies me from working on any major projects. They tend to need artists far more than coders.

 

I also started writing fanfiction this past year thanks to ideas that just wouldn't leave my head. I didn't expect to be any good at it, but what I did write turned out to be pretty popular. I even managed to get the story featured on Equestria Daily.

 

And that's all I really have to say about myself. Hello to evreyone else here, and I hope we all get along fine!

I've played most of the games, Windwaker being my absolute favorite. They're mostly really good in general, though, and I just like good games.

Okay, Ocarina of Time is probably my favorite. Mainly because its a game i grew up with.

Twilight Princes is also a favorite!

Have you had a chance to play the Darksiders series? It's basically a Zelda tribute with more fighting, and an amazing one at that.

While the series isn't exactly known for its deep a nuanced characters, Skyward Sword was a massive improvement in that area and actually managed to make me care about all of the main characters. The crown of favorite probably goes to Groose for being the only Legend of Zelda character I can think of to go through any amount of meaningful character development and come out awesome.

I played the first one, and it was moderately enjoyable. I'll probably pick up the second one on the WiiU at some point, once I'm done with other games higher on my list.

I consider myself something of a harsh critic when it comes to games, so believe me when I say this:

 

Darksiders II is the best game I've played in years.

Sociability has never been one of my strong points. Actually, it's something that eluded me until around the time I came here. One may come here with the intent to lurk, but I think it's hard to keep that up for long.

 

I'm not artistic in the least either, at least not as far as I know. I started whittling recently. If I can get a block of wood to become something resembling an equine creature I might post it.
