so Iv'e been looking at my OC Whirlwind and I though I would give him a re-design or at least a color change.

Yay, Flaret is a highlight! And the changeling costume looks awesome! Though he does remind me of someone who's gonna go scubadiving somehow. xD

thanks i don't think i would ever want my work to be perfect because it's fun to point out my buck ups and learn from them, like how i keep making the body too long. also i kinda fear if i did reach that level of perfection i would be one of those artists who make comission threads then say they will decline some, as wll as only do one pic. i never want to be like that so i'll continoue to just draw..... and i'm rambling again damn it this has been happening all day.

 

i may hold you up to that too, i just need to find a look for whirlwind that i'll be satified with, i'm kind likeing the Trixie color scheme but i'm just gona keep dabbling with it on the side of re-drawing OCs from my requests thread.

@@PonyEcho, I'm not going to lie to you when I say that I would like to get paid for my art it's just my insecurities takes the best of me, but that's why I'm drawing and improving each day and learn from my mistakes. and yeah you're rambling :/

And take all the time you need, I have my hooves full, I just wanted to let you know that I will draw one of your OC's in my style

i have no problem with people getting paid for their drawings (apart from the simple fact thati'm too poor), mainly those people who want you OC back story and simply say they will decline requests when the truth is the the people asking for their OC to be drawn are doing the artist a favor and a huge favor if the're paying.

and insecurities are easy to over come for example I keep getting the feeling that i'm rely not cut out for this because my threads never get much attention as other art threads, but then i remember that i don't rely care and get back to drawing, hell if i cared i would start using my deviant art more

@@PonyEcho, it's 50%/50% IMO, and it depends in the ability of the artist, and of course how much the client like the artist work, because you can like 1 artist and I could think that this artist makes just crap.

if the skills of the artists are over the top, it's fair to pay him/her for her work because after all, it's a personalized work they are doing for you.
