Java Jive 440 November 3, 2012 Share November 3, 2012 So i recently have gotten myself an Intuos 5, it works like a charm. I havent drawn for a very, very long time until the MLP community kind of reawakened it. So i have a lot to thank you all for. I had one other drawing before this one, but i'll post that later maybe. Here's my most recent one. Because Java's (My OC) past is in the streets of Manehattan, i decided to give that a shot. I'm not the best with backgrounds, but i sure had some fun making it. It's a start, at the very least. All done in Paint tool SAI. With (Corel) Paint shop Pro to sharpen the lines just a bit. 7 Let's go downtown. About my tablet, well yeah i can recommend it ofcourse, it is a great piece of hardware and the surface is really comfortable to draw on, but i noticed your awesome work and you seem to be getting a lot out of the tablet you already have. it does the trick. Pix3M 607 November 3, 2012 Share November 3, 2012 It helps a lot to draw guide lines using vanishing points and such so your works start to have an actual perspective, and thus more convincing. Notice how the horizontal lines don't appear parallel? 1 My deviantArt page
Java Jive 440 November 3, 2012 Author Share November 3, 2012 (edited) It helps a lot to draw guide lines using vanishing points and such so your works start to have an actual perspective, and thus more convincing. Notice how the horizontal lines don't appear parallel? Right. Like i said, i'm not the best with backgrounds. Cant say i really tried them before much either. I get your point with guide lines & vanishing points, i have yet to pick up on some techniques. I have spend the bigger part of my time getting in touch with the feel of actual MLP characters. Ill keep your advice in mind. Edited November 3, 2012 by JavaJive Let's go downtown.
