Common misconception about black markets

Many people in first world countries probably think that the black market is a place that exclusively sell weapons like in the hollywood movies but most black markets deal with civilian goods.

Tech black market

Prototypes or unreleased version of graphic cards, Iphones , computer chip, consoles are usually stolen by employees of factories in china then smuggled by organized crime to black markets in third world countries. There are lots of products that are sold on the black market only because they infringe on patents.

The tech black market also gives basic services such as jailbreaking Iphones, ps3, psp, modifying electronics, etc

There are lots of curious non weapon military grade stuff possibly stolen from various military all over the world and lots of other strange looking tech but I have no idea what they're for.

basically technology porn for nerds.

The main consumer groups for this this black market are usually some white tourists and local young bourgeoisie elite.

Drug black market

They're usually holed up in some night club and the drug factories are usually on the very same building.

Weapons black market

You need recommendation from organized crime made men or influential terrorist leaders to get access to black markets that sells heavy weapons, there are lots of freelance dealers selling smaller caliber pistol on some streets but they usually get caught pretty quick so only terrorists and the very top of organized crime have access to firearms and heavy weapons.

I know from a friend that lives in Zimbabwae that they regularly use the black market to get food etc because often its cheaper than the shops (and theres more choice too).

The funny thing about the black market over there is when the economy got a little stronger, I mean comparitively to what it usually is, it actually caused people to lose their jobs within the black market which dragged the countries economy back down with it.

I know what you mean, I used to get Made in USA Virgil's root beer off the black market before they became somewhat mainstream. There are still lots of cooking spices which are not sold on supermarkets here and people have to go to black markets to obtain them.

I frequently edit my new posts to fix grammatical errors or to reword stuff, so sorry if I make it look like I'm forging my messages to change the meaning of anyone's replies or something.
