Pony Outlander

I was inspired to sketch up some Torchlight 2/Pony fanart when I accidentally combined some low level, newbie equipment. It's not anything fancy, but I thought it looked cool! Not an artist by any means, I felt an outline of the original sketch was good enough, and that trying to color it would only make it an eyesore. Posted Image

Anyways, in the spoiler is the picture I referenced. Enjoy!

Looking good, very smooth lines. What exactly are you using to paint?

-The head could benefit from some rounding out.

-maybe make some mane visible behind the ear (going up in the top-knot)

-not sure if intentional, but she seems to be missing a tail.

I scaled the picture up to a larger size, then used GIMP with a 10 pixel pen with the smoothness option turned up to max. Then I scaled the picture back down.

Now that you mention it, she does look egg-headed, doesn't she? It looks like her head becomes huge as it goes from the face to its top.

For the mane, yeah, it'd probably look better if it appeared like you said. The way I drew it makes it look like the hair was glued onto her head. Or do you mean that it looks like she doesn't have any hair to the left of her ear?

I did intentionally leave the tail out. I guess I was thinking that, if I did draw it, not enough of it would be showing, which would just result in some confusing extra lines. I don't know why I thought that though, kind of silly of me.
