Bronies, Arthur Style

Anyone else watch Arthur sometimes? You know, the 8-year old aardvark who goes on adventures learning important life lessons? I do, occasionally. And today I've stumbled across a certain episode, "That's a Baby Show!" and it is oddly enough like bronyism.

 

Arthur discovers this "baby show" called Love Ducks, while watching TV. He almost turns it off, but he gets absorbed in it.

 

Disclaimer: the similarities are not about the show itself, but about how he acts around it.

 

Anyways he gets addicted, and he becomes what I call a "Bruck." He tries to keep it a secret from his friends, a "closet bruck", but he fails and they find out. As of now, they are haters, but then they end up seeing it. They, of course love it, and the Bruckism spreads.

Heh, I loved watching Arthur when I was a kid, and that episode seems pretty ironic now. Thanks for sharing it! Might as well revisit my childhood.

I used to watch Arthur all the time.  Now it just seems like so weird how close that is to bronies.  I mean they even use the same first to letters to change the words.

Nah, I just made that part about the "br" up. It was pretty good, though! But it would be cool if they did capl themselves Brucks. Besides, this one is a pretty old one, before MLP was even invented.

Holy crap, nice catch. This is just like the brony community. The similarities are endless, except for the name of course. Who would have known, Arthur doing an episode that was indirectly abut us.

I loved this show when I was little, but now I've ignored for a long while since I've grown up. I went to see Arthur Live when I was little and it was fun. This episode seems very interesting.
