My first wander into pony art!

I'm not going to pretend to be an artist because I only doodle, but this is my first picture of what I hope will be many pony-related pictures. Browsing through this forum I got kinda jealous of the talent some of you have, and decided to try to get as good as some of you lot ^.^

 

 

I could do with some criticism and maybe a few tips (such as how to make the snout not look so... weird).

Your snout looks weird because you still have a half face view on both sides.  On the left side, her face should be at more of a 45 degree angle than the full angle you have.  Also the snout is tilted down a little while the contour of the face makes it appear as though it should point a little more upwards. The vertexes and corners of her legs should all be a little bit more rounded out.  They all just seem a little pointy.  Hope that I didn't seem too heavy on ya, I try to be as specific as possible though so that you can further improve.

I'm being in a extremely good mood right now, This IS a good place for you to hone your skills in drawing. after all I started as a guy who only knew to draw piggy versions of ponies, now! I draw humanized ponies wearing badass armor :3

 

push yourself harder, that is my only advice, and you will draw like you never have done before.

Well I hope I'm not put into this so called "us" group, because I suck, seriously your first post here of art is way better then anything I've ever made .

So yeah great job! Your well on your way for sure!
