It's that time of year again, everypony. A time for gathering with friends and family you really don't want to see, but doing your best to look happy about it until you part ways once again. A time for regifting things given to you that you hated or already owned. A time for fighting over parking spaces and fighting the hordes in Walmart to get a last minute gift for somebody, and spending copious amounts of money on stuff the recipient will never use. A time for solidifying a season's worth of bad eating habits and laziness that will override any resolution to take better care of yourself you may have made for the new year.

 

Let's take a moment to gather 'round ye olde Festivul pole and lay aside our façades while we're here.

 

 

Now, let us begin with one of the longstanding and most hallowed of Festivus traditions, the Airing of Grievances, because I got a lot problems with you people, and now you're going to hear about it!

 

 

First of all, what's the deal with filling my notifications tray with 80+ replies to a single status that originally consisted of five words?! There wasn't enough there to spark an argument or discussion! I go to the store or to do a job, I come back feeling a bit bummed out and see nearly 100 notifications. "Oh, joy!" thought I at the prospect of quoted posts, possibly leading to pleasant conversation. But no! Status updates, status updates everywhere!

 

And what's up with all these avatar and name changes?! I don't know who I'm talking to anymore! Alfonzo Dennard, Alredo Dinner, whatever. You people with all your aliases are driving me up a wall! I can't even notify somebody in a post anymore, not without looking up their pofile first to make sure their name hasn't changed! And don't even get me started on simultaneous name and avatar changes! I don't care who you are, just make up your minds about it!

 

 

I need some coffee. And rum. And coffee with rum... and maybe a little brown sugar.

A Festivus for the rest of us! Time to air my grievances:

 

My grievances regarding the forum: the chat room was removed this year. This was very disappointing. I mean, certainly a troll or two could simply be ignored? The chat was taken away from me and I feel cheated! Also, how dare donations and contests open and not allow me? Sure I'm "too young", but that doesn't matter! You know, this is really the US' fault. The US has disappointed me a lot, too. Like the Fiscal Cliff. And obligatory anti-drug school programs.

 

Then there's the whole turkey mishap. I got shot at least three times, I don't even know what that was about.

 

When do we get to challenge Feld0 to a fight?
