Diego found himself thinking about Starfall. He and the gang leader had indeed been very close; they had in fact had a foal, who had been shipped out to stay with relatives in order to protect her from the harsh realities of life in the gang. Diego wondered where his daughter was now, and whether or not she'd inherited his magic.

 A grey mare shifted on her haypile, quietly tucking her long legs beneath her. She had not been incarcerated long -maybe one or two days- but she had been there long enough. Her heart and mind were growing disquiet. Hex's ears pricked up slightly as she tried to tune-in to a conversation somewhere along this row. Prisoners always spoke of escaping, but judging by thier tones...they might be getting somewhere.

As soon as the spell that blocked unicorn powers had been nullified, Diego acted. He didn't know how many of the prisoners would come with him, just trusted that they'd take the chance of escaping over remaining in prison for the rest of their lives. He used his chaos magic to create a confusing fog that would only affect the guards, making them only see a miasma of multicoloured mist in front of their eyes. This would mean that he and anypony who wanted to follow could take the chance to escape... he shot a blast of magic at the lock, sending it flying and rushed out of the cell.

 Hex took the fog as a cue to go. Breaking free of her confinement she stepped out gingerly. A few other prisoners rushed past her, making her whip her head back. Waiting for a break in the stream she galloped forward, unsure of the way out of the cell block.

The guards milled about in confusion. One shouted that there was a jail break, but his voice was drowned by the thunder of hoofs. Diego knew the way out; he'd stored the information in his mind as he'd entered; it was complicated, true, and only a unicorn could hope to make it. As soon as the prisoners were all out of the cell block, he fired a blast of magic at the door, sealing it and trapping the guards inside.
