My favorite pony is hard to say, but if I had to choose it would be Rainbow Dash b/c she is fearless and awesome!

 

Anyways, looking forward to meeting everypony... brony out!

WELCOME to the Forums! You're right, we're a pretty cool place. Most of the time. When we aren't sacrificing newbies bickering. 

 

Standard conversation starter: what are some of your hobbies/interests/etc?

As for your signature, go up to your name in the upper-right corner of the site, then click My Profile in the dropdown menu. Click Edit my Profile in the top right of your profile page, then the fifth option down on the left side menu is Signature! Hope this helps.

On adding a sig, first you need at least five posts in order to access that section of your control panel. In order to get there, go to the top of the screen and click on the tab that shows your username. A drop-down box will appear; click on "My Profile." Now, click on "Edit My Profile" in the upper right corner of your profile. Once you've posted five times, the tab of "Signature" should appear under "Display Name." (it's 5 tabs down). Click on it, and you can edit it!
