Dev 251 January 26, 2013 Share January 26, 2013 (edited) In my free time (all day), I have decided to go into the business of pony art. The first three I had to look at a picture and copy from there to make, and the third was only with partial glancing every now and then. Basically I'm just learning how to draw a pony and remembering it so I can draw it from memory. I'd really appreciate feedback on my sketchings to see if I could improve on anything! Warning: Possibly large images. - - - The fourth one wasn't copied, and drawn half from memory with a few quick glances and corrections. Whaddya think guys? Should I continue my quest? Feedback = Appreciated. Also, mind all the rough lines, these are only sketches and my lead pencil and eraser suck. StormzInvader 127 January 26, 2013 Share January 26, 2013 Great job as always, Dev! (Ahehehehe) Keep up the good work! Also, can you do computer art? I forgot if I asked you this already or not. It'd be cool if you could color them, but not coloring them is cool too (Putting random stuff for the 100 char. limit) 1 Thank you, Gone Airbourne, for the amazing signature! Concord 1,982 January 26, 2013 Share January 26, 2013 Hello! These are nice. Definately could use some work, but they're nice. I enjoyed the last one, not for the quality, but for the Idea itself. It seemed funny, and somehow related to the Matrix, Saw. I'd suggest, learning to use skeletons, because i'm not seeing traces of those in your drawings. They really do help. I don't want to seem mean or rude here, i'm just trying to help Good luck! 1 Thank you MatrixChicken for the Signature!

My method has always been to just find a point and start drawing :S
Agent505 661 January 26, 2013 Share January 26, 2013 Being a pencil artist myself, I know the struggles here... Overall, they're incredibly well drawn for new pieces, and I can appreciate the difficulty of drawing in perspective other than side on. They could use some work in a lot of places, proportions and such can be a pain if you're not using references or are not used to them. These are the sites I started using to help myself get into drawing properly, and very often find myself going back to them even today. Although that said, it's been a long time since I drew anything other than a collaboration of horrendous sketches on one page...maybe I should start again. http://www.equestriadaily.com/2011/01/pony-drawing-guides.html http://www.dragoart.com/tuts/8102/1/1/how-to-draw-my-little-pony,-friendship-is-magic-style.htm 2 I've been watching you, all this time.
