Gone for good 1,593 March 12, 2013 Share March 12, 2013 google is your best friend, my friend. If you're wondering what tools I use to make my videos that are far from being famous, I use Sony Vegas and Flash but you don't need these two to start making things. There's all sorts of free tools on the internet at your disposal you can use, you just gotta google them. Or, you could also take things to a different level and make fan videos the traditional way, which would be awesome. Just editing my signature to say that my behavior on here was cringe. I don't regret the friends i made but man i was cringe here
Bucky McGillyCuddy 956 March 12, 2013 Share March 12, 2013 (edited) If you want to make animation you can pirate get the exact same software the animators use online pretty easily. It's called "Adobe Flash" Adobe being the company and Flash being the animation software. I'd imagine this is what most of the videos you've seen have been animated with. A fair warning though it takes a lot of patience, practice and dedication to get to the level of quality you've probably seen on Youtube. but once you learn the fundamentals the program starts to work for you rather than you working for it if that makes sense. Good luck. Acoustic Cloud 2,202 March 12, 2013 Share March 12, 2013 Well you have flash for animation, you could add sounds in aftereffects, (You COULD do all the animation in aftereffects) If you are on a budge you could do your sounds with final cut or something. Flash is your best bet for a starter, and you can find fully rigged puppets here. http://www.doublerainboom.com/art/pupp.html
Bucky McGillyCuddy 956 March 12, 2013 Share March 12, 2013 (You COULD do all the animation in aftereffects) I've always been interested in AE's animation, though I've never tried it. It's hard to imagine doing anything other than visual effects / editing. To start that you need to go to the properties, pick an object, ctrl+alt+= and you're set to start those.
Bucky McGillyCuddy 956 March 12, 2013 Share March 12, 2013 pick an object, ctrl+alt+= and you're set to start those. Oh is that the only animation function? I thought there was a dedicated animation toolset with things similar to flashes "bones" tool haha. It's suddenly lost it's appeal.
